a very unsettling experience

I think it’s a very good property if there’s no below accident happen.

We had a very unsettling experience during our stay. On the first night, when we returned to our room, we saw a strange man trying to unlock our door using a key. At first we thought he had the wrong room, but then we realized he was holding a key with the exact same room number as ours. We immediately called the office, and although the manager came quickly and took the person away, no explanation was given to us at any point. Honestly, it was very disturbing — if we hadn’t returned at that moment, he would have entered our room. This situation made us feel extremely unsafe, and it seriously affected our overall impression of the property.

The venue was in close proximity to Massey University and public transportation. The staff were helpful, polite and our room was super ideal for our stay. Thank goodness for AIR CONDITIONING!

Relaxing quiet easy access to car park

My wife and i stayed in unit 7 Friday 9th Sat 10th the first thing i noticed was the amount of room we had , Clean & very very tidy it would be up there with the top motels we have stayed and for price really well. The beds were very comfortable we usually sleep together but choose a bed each .. we just pushed them together but having that extra room in bed was a bonus. to the owners keep up the excellent level of tidiness. We were very happy with our stay. The rooms were spacious and fit our group comfortably.

The AC in our room was not working properly. We asked one of the staff to assist and there was nothing he could do to help us or move us to another room. We also weren’t able to get any retribution which was disappointing as we had paid for a room with working aircon. The weather was 30 degrees so it was really stuffy and hot during the night. We ended up buying fans which got us through.

Very convenient motel for North Shore

Very clean and tidy, it felt as though it had been newly refurbished. Although we didn't see any staff we had clear communication from Abhi reference key collection

OVERALL A GOOD STAY

The process was easy an when picking up the key. The Manager Ahbi was very nice an welcoming.

I was looking forward to my room being serviced, but it wasn't so a little disappointing to see rubbish still out an bed unmade . That needs to be rectified asap. Also the towels weren't changed.

Nice clean rooms very quiet area and close to all the shops and restaurants. Recently renovated, nicely done with clean spacious bathroom.

I had my grandchildren with me, so an area for the kids to play or run around would have been ideal.

Great Stay – Super Convenient! Perfect for Families & Sports Events

Exceptional Stay – Perfect for Families & Sports Events! We stayed at Albany Oak Motel for my son's hockey tournament at North Harbour Hockey, just a 5-minute walk away – so convenient! The room was super clean with all facilities and the beds were very comfortable. A great place to stay for families attending events nearby. Would definitely stay again!
