Hôtel Versailles Chantiers

From the staff at reception, to the breakfast team, to housekeeping. All the staff were excellent. Checking in was effortless, and we had no issues with communication. The room was a fair size with a nice view, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The location is excellent for Paris. As you are so close to the main train station of Versailles, getting into the city via RER C or the N line is very simple. The room was very clean. You could tell that attention had been paid to ensure the room was always at a high level of cleanliness. The total absence of dust was noticeable. The breakfast in the morning was of good quality; the bread and pastries were fresh. We would have our breakfast at about 8-8.30; and there wasn't a lack of items at that time. The highest praise I can offer is that if we ever return, we will 100% stay here again.

In the local area, there aren't really any restaurants. You have to walk 10-15 minutes before you start finding places to enjoy a sit-down meal. There are local shops and takeaways, but no Bistrots or Brasseries. If you want a hotel close to the palace itself, this may not be for you. It's a 20-minute walk, which is fine when it's not raining... However, there are bus services, In truth, neither of these points was problematic for us, but for others they might be.

The staff went above and beyond with lovely touches such as complimentary macarons and drink at reception. On the day we left we were able to leave our luggage and wander the town. Bonus - there was a lift! It is directly across from a railway station and a relatively short walk to the palace. Perfect location.

The shower was tiny, which was fine for us but just be aware if you are a person of larger stature, you would definitely struggle.

Staff was the nicest. Lobby drinks were lovely and appreciated!

The reception staff were friendly and it is close to everthing....train station...Pa;ace...groceries...restaurants.

Room was small...coffee machine was bad as in lukewarm coffee..no kettle for tea drinkers...no mini fridge. These things dont cost a lot for the hotel. There is a square purple seat tucked under a desk which cannot be used as the room is too small. Put a small fridge there. In 2025 small comforts go along way if you want a business to thrive.
