Wanted our money back the minute we walked in our room

It was secure and there was off road parking

No milk for the complimentry tea and coffee..nearest was 800mt away..no top sheet on bed..signs everywhere telling you they are going to throw you out for what ever reason with no refunds .wasn't game to fart incase i set the fire alarms off and get chucked out...dont tell you no alcohol till you booked in...appearent duty manager we dealt with was like deer in the headlights...get a job on the council not hospitality

Ok for one night if you don't care about bedding.

Relatively clean, incl common areas, walkable location. Front desk staff friendly.

Bed not supporting, and sheets and covers are pure polyester which makes them super hot and stuffy. Area outside doesn't feel very safe.

The tv in the room was faced away from the beds, and the bathroom was shared among many.

Hostel, hospitality.

Location was easy to locate, on arrival the hostel appeared to have all the basics of a good stay, but as the hours passed the facilities seem to lack careful planning. The showers & bathroom facilities were kept to a basic standard of cleanliness, but the hot water reliability was both irregular & unpredictable. WiFi is difficult to obtain due to strength of signal, a booster is required but not available, as often the usage is hijacked by a single user. The decor needs serious attention, as most of the bunks, beds & communal area is close to the kitchen, this can be disruptive to those whom sleep light & is often utilised late into the night by inconsiderate guests looking to socialise.

Really liked the kitchen hang out area, the beds were comfortable and it was great to have a seperate bathroom, heat pump and Tv

Simple booking online or on site, easy parking, fast service, clean and tidy rooms and facilities, all you need and more here, very great workers and manager. Bring your positive attitude.

ok for short stay

- bed was comfortable and wifi worked - got lucky and had nice roommates - parking available behind and next to the building but can’t reserve so just have hope there’s space

- no privacy curtains/blinds on beds - plug sockets were in slightly awkward locations (people on the bottom bunks were fine) - lockers were quite small - i had to just lock my bag (cabin sized duffel) and leave it under the desk - men’s toilets were outdated and not the cleanest - men’s and women’s are in the same block just each cubicle is labelled which could understandably make some travellers feel uncomfortable hostel messaged me to say reception closed at 18:30 and instructions would be sent after payment except i’d opted to pay in person and then i arrived and found that reception’s hours on the door were listed as 19:00 so made me panic for no reason! i only stayed for 1 night and probably wouldn’t have stayed any longer than 2

The staff were lovely and polite. Good central location within walking distance to supermarkets, shopping centre, bars, restaurants etc. The water pressure in the showers is excellent.

I was locked out of my room from 9:30 till 10am. I waited in the reception while the host went toilet. I was fuming. I even paid for a late check out and it was useless after wasting 30 minutes, locked out with nothing but my phone and a dressing gown. There was dust under the beds. Boogers on the wall. The toilets had no toilet paper.

Central location, you get what you pay for, ideal for travellers passing through

We enjoyed our stay at Backpackers Central. The kitchen had everything we needed in it to make dinner and was quiet clean. We had a private room with ensuite, it was a large room with double bed and desk. There was a fridge too which was a bonus as we stayed 2 nights and needed somewhere to store lunch. The bathroom had a decent shower, the hot water was great and didn't cut out and there was linen (towels and bedding) and some soap bars provided. The location was fairly close to the centre and there was parking on site although it was limited. Tip: if you arrive just at 7pm you get 1 hour free parking on the road and then it's free road parking after 8pm until 8am the next day, you would have to arrange a late check in though and would only do this if parking is likely to be full. Although we did stay in winter so was surprised it was that busy.

The wardrobe had a faint scent of some kind of food in there so didn't try and leave any clothes in there. The overall cleanliness of the room, particularly the linen could have been better as there were some interesting stains on the towels but you could bring your own if you are bothered. The bathroom was generally clean although I wouldn't give it a close inspection.

I apologize. I am a snorer, and perimenopausal so I talk in my sleep (long time sleep talker since I was a kid). I disturbed my two roommates. Next time I will purchase ear plugs for potential roommates so they can rest.

My single bedroom has everything i needed. Even a fridge. The private rooms are seperated from the dorms, which makes it nice and quiet.
