La Perla B & B CHECK IN TIME DA FROM H 20 PM

Very warm welcome and friendly hosts.

No air conditioning (very tough in the heat) and Google Maps shows a slightly wrong location.

The room was big and very clean, and even though the toilet was shared, it was spotless. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the railway station, ideal for catching an early morning flight or arriving late at night, and convenient for reaching Termini Central Rome by train.

The breakfast was very minimal — just coffee, tea capsules, and some biscuits. It’s okay for an early start, but not a full breakfast. It would be nice to have a few more options.

Great location

If you miss your flight, this is most probably a good place to stay, given its proximity to the airport and Ciampino train station (5-min walk) where the airport bus stops. Rome is also easy to reach, only 18 mins by train and costs 1.50 EUR. A big plus was that it was available at short notice in the evening when we realized we will not make it to our connecting flight. We were welcomed into the facility fast and efficiently. Please note that it is B&B which in reality is one apartment in the apartment building.

The facilities are quite old but it is OK for a short stay. At the end, in Italy, houses are like that. For a non-smoker it was a bit unpleasant to stay in a room where smoking is allowed, you can feel the smell. The hostess was very concerned when do we check-out and made it clear that it cannot go over even 1 minute after 10. I believe there was also a dog in the apartment who started barking loud when we went for a breakfast at 7.30; most probably waking up other guests as a result.... If your flight is later in the afternoon, please note that it is not possible to keep your luggage and pick it up later. With all these stressful rules, I would rather stay elsewhere the next time.
