Excellent and peaceful - wonderful breakfast

The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help out. The highlight was absolutely the breakfast, which was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had.

It was all good, really. The curtain in my room was a bit fidgety, but now I am really straining myself trying to come up with anything even slightly negative.

A wonderful place

A magnificent hotel with very attentive and polite staff. The breakfast was amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, though unfortunately we didn’t use the SPA area.

A pleasant stay despite small nuisances.

Confortable and pleasant, clean and spacious room with good beds and modern practical bathroom, and a nice spa area.

It was difficult to find the swimming pool in a maze of confusing signs and a labyrinth of corridors. The electric car chargers next and below the room are a source of continuous noise and nuisance; these should have been placed away from all rooms. All evening there were in our room frequent and very annoying loud noises coming from the corridor or neighbouring rooms.

Very good breakfast.

Got a little bit dissapointed, to be honest. The rooms were more worn than the pictures showed, the walls were paper thin, and the quilt was meant for cold winter though it was july. The wifi didn’t work and the tv didn’t work. Additionally the ventilation in one of our rooms was also u/s, and the cieling window didn’t open. All this, and we still had to pay full price. 😕

Great stay, wonderful staff

The old building is full of character. My room in this building was at the top floor. Nice room, with good beds. The room was also quite spacious. TV didn’t work but I was only staying for one night, so not really a problem. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Good breakfast.

The breakfast was first class with freshly baked bread and croissants. The room was very good and so was the food in the evenings. The staff was very friendly and most of them spoke very good English.

We thought that 9 euros per day for parking was a bit much.

- The room was clean. - The spa was in good order and I liked that there were lockers and plenty of towels available. - The building itself was pretty and well-maintained. - Both the check-in and the check-out were very fast.

- My room was tucked away in the property which meant I had to go through several halls and flights of stairs to get in and out. - The staff had quite a loud conversation outside my door in the morning. - The bed and the duvet were on the small side (iḿ about 180cm).

Okay, but old-fashioned and outdated.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of bread and fruit, juices and cereals.

Our room was quite clean, but really dated...(carpet, furniture). The bathroom definetely needs a renovation. It was really old. Probably from the 1980s. Our sink and shower had cracks, which looked not very nice and seemed dirty and are a home for bacteria. I didn't feel comfortable in there. I don't think that the room was worth the price (standard double room € 179,- breakfast included). Breakfast was good, but it was very crowded in the restaurant at first. After a while, they were running out of (e.g.) smoked salmon, jelly and cups for the coffee-maker. Most of the staff were kind of friendly, but at 10:30 we were rushed to finish breakfast "because of lunch time". Well....

Spa area is very nice. Did not miss anything downstairs in the Spa area. The restaurant and breakfast selections: Excellent. Very service minded and very friendly staff ensured a utmost comfortable stay for me. For sure I shall return to this hotel "Birke" !

Flatscreen TV in the room could not be turned in an angle of 90 degrees on the wall mounting. So while lying on the bed, you did not have the full dimension of the flatscreen to look at. But other than that, truly NOTHING to complain about !

Super hyggeligt juleophold.

Vi kunne godt lide udsigt til skov, mega julepyntet og rummelige værelser. Sødt personale som kunne engelsk. Nemt at parkere bilen.

Vi skulle gå fra et andet hus, hen til huset der havde reception, spaområde, bar og restaurant. Det fremgik ikke af bookingen. Plus det var ikke så nemt at få betjening i baren, det var dem fra receptionen der så skulle have tid.

Sehr bequeme Betten, Babybett wurde auf Nachfrage (trotz vorheriger Buchung) kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt

Keine Küchenzeile, trotz Wahl eines Apartments, vorherige telefonische Nachfrage ob eine vorhanden sei wurde abgelehnt aufgrund von Verfügbarkeit, am Tag der Anreise bei booking für 10€ mehr am Tag doch angeboten, leider wurde das Zimmer hier schon bezogen. Buchung von Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten war ein Doppelbett, bei einem 4 Tagesaufenthalt wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt. Pool Temperatur nur bei 26‘C, für Kleinkind leider zu kalt

Lækre spafaciliteter, og helt fantastisk morgenmad hvor det var muligt at bestille pandekager, vafler, french toast, omeletter, særlige æg m.m.

Værelserne var ikke varmet op, og i løbet af de to dage vi var på besøg var der stadig koldt da vi tjekkede ud. Slidte og ikke så rene værelser i anden bygning end hvor der var spa, pool og morgenmad.

Ideal für Kreuzfahrer

Lage und Freundlichkeit des Personals. Im Zimmer 1 Fl.Wasser, Bademantel, Badetücher inklusive. Großzügiger Schwimmbad und Saunabereich.

Im Zimmer war es zu warm, die Unterbringung erfolgte im ältere Nebengebäuden. Wir wussten leider bei der Buchung nicht, dass es auch spezielle Angebote für Kreuzfahrer sogar mit shuttle gibt.

Es hätte toll werden können, wäre die Ruhestörung nicht erklatant gewesen.

Die Unterkunft ist schön gelegen am Wald und trotzdem nicht weit zum Zentrum. Das Haus ist sauber und gepflegt.

Im Haus Waldesruh befindet sich unten ein Veranstaltungsraum, der zum Zeitpunkt des Aufenthalts gebucht war. Mit Waldesruh hatte der Aufenthalt daher nichts zu tun. Stattdessen gab es laute Bässe, die durch das Haus dröhnten und sich lautstark unterhaltende und rauchende Gäste unter unserem Fenster, die Schlaf unmöglich machten. Der Bitte nach einem neuen Zimmer kam man schließlich nach. Dabei wurde mehrfach darauf hingewiesen, dass es sich um ein Upgrade handelt und daher keinerlei Nachlass für die mangelhafte Leistung gewährt werden kann. Insgesamt waren unsere Nacht und der anschließende Tag aufgrund mangelnden Schlafs für uns gelaufen. So hatten wir uns das definitiv nicht vorgestellt.
