Casa Almirante Reis - Perfect Location & Rooftop

Access to the building was via a key held in a lockbox. We initially had a little difficulty with the lock box, due to a typo on the welcome email, but a quick call with our host, Rafael, sorted this within a few minutes. The entrance to the house leads into a hallway, with the main bedroom opening off it. The hall leads to the living room and the second bedroom, with a breakfast / dining area with a coffee pod machine. Another door leads to the fully enclosed and roofed rear courtyard, which provides access to the kitchen and bathroom, as well as a door to the stairs to the huge roof terrace. The huge terrace is split level, with a flat area with table and chairs at the top of the stairs. The upper level at the front has more seating and is reached via short flight of steps. This upper area is slightly arched, and does take a little getting used to. The main bedroom is a good size, with plenty of storage for a week's stay, and a large, comfortable bed. A few more hangers would be useful, as we had to raid the second bedroom to get enough. The compact living room has a 2 seater settee as well as a flatscreen TV. Wifi was excellent throughout the property. The location of the property is perfect with relatively little traffic on the street during the day and very peaceful in the evening, but lying within very easy walking distance of multiple shops, bars and restaurants. Overall, an excellent place to stay in Olhao and we'd be very happy to visit again

Great location, you can walk easily everywhere. The house itself is traditional, and pretty much has all you need. The outdoor bbq is a big plus along with the air conditioning. Amazing roof terrace to relax in the evening. Great shower . We had a great stay, for sure we are staying here again. I have to praise also the communication with our host, on time and accurate. Thank you.

A few small things, we thought the mattress is in need of an upgrade, but we are not fussy sleepers, so it's mostly a suggestion. Some extra attention to cleaning and definitely replace the clothes dryer as well as some worn equipment. In general everything is functioning but with a few upgrades it will be a 10/10.

Il manquait des bouteilles d’eau pour l’accueil.

Locatie was dicht bij het centrum. De host was heel vriendelijk en reageerde snel en beleefd.

Weinig daglicht (er is maar 1 slaapkamer met ramen). Armoedige inrichting, geen opbergruimte. Keuken en badkamer zijn oud en versleten. De kraan in de badkamer was een drukknop met koud water die ieder 3 seconden stopte. De airconditioning lekte. Het huis heeft veel onderhoud nodig. Het huis kwam merkbaar slechter over dan de foto’s van de advertentie.
