Martel Guest House

We had a lovely 2-night stay at Martel Guest House. Our room was on the ground floor, which was very convenient, and it was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The room had everything we needed, including a coffee machine, kettle with coffee, tea and milk, a fridge, safe, iron, hairdryer and air conditioning. Toiletries were also provided, and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was very kind and helpful, even though we didn’t get the chance to meet him in person. He checked to make sure we had everything we needed and kindly allowed us to check in 30 minutes early, which we really appreciated. The location is also very convenient, just a few minutes’ walk from Golders Green station, making it easy to get around London.

Brilliant location in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Easy walk to underground or bus transport. Free car parking on the driveway. Phil was fantastic with communication along with prompt responses to my questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Other guests chatting loudly in early hours of the morning outside our ground floor window by the front door on both nights. No fault of the property though.

Close to subway, big room, quiet area, small fridge in the room, kindness of staff.

High quality fittings in the bedroom and a good bed.

Ensuite shower room was very small. Parking at the front was full up already and only a few cars can park there. Entry is stressful with a code on the door to the hotel. The coffee machine did not work which was a disaster as the hotel does not offer breakfast. We came and went without meeting any staff which was ok but strange. The price was low so these problems are to be expected.
