Cove Holiday Apartments

My partner and I got the 185m apartment for ourselves. The apartment itself is very spacious, in a good position, close to Beau Vallon Beach and a supermarket which is quite convenient. The host was welcoming and helped us whenever we needed something with fast responses.

What really rubbed us the wrong way was how we were treated from the very beginning. We were offered an early check in which was very much appreciated, but we weren’t welcomed by the host herself, instead we were welcomed by someone else who I guess was either the cleaning lady or someone from the staff. As we entered the apartment, a very big apartment that we specifically chose with two bathrooms etc.. the lady didn’t even show us the entire house because she said “you’re not going to use it”, and kept that part of the house closed (doors closed) without showing it to us. Of course when she left we explored the rest of the house that we were indeed going to use because otherwise I would have booked a smaller house, don’t you think? (And also would have paid less than half the amount I paid for this house, considering that this house for 4 nights was 1230€ and the smaller one was around 400/500€). As days go by and we use the entire house, both bathrooms etc, one day we come back from our day to find out that part of the house was LOCKED and wasn’t accessible, we couldn’t access the second bathroom since someone shut the door closed to that part of the house and locked it with a key we didn’t have. We were quite shocked. You see that I use that part of the house, my partner and I used the two separate bathrooms to be more comfortable and you proceed to close it? You close part of the apartment that FULLY paid for? Without even telling me anything. We immediately told the host and she came upstairs to open the door with another key. When we opened the door we saw that the housekeeper had put a large amount of towels, blankets etc in that part of the house as stocking. May I repeat myself, you use part of the house I paid for to stock stuff for future clients? Insane. And let’s not say that it was a mistake because you don’t leave all that stuff there by mistake, it was purposefully done. The following day we saw an immense difference in how we were treated.

We honestly had such a great stay here and felt so welcome from the minute we arrived. The owner and all the staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. They were so friendly and approachable, and it really felt like we were staying with people who genuinely cared about us having a good holiday. What we loved most was how relaxed and homely everything felt. We never felt like just another booking — everyone knew who we were, checked that we were okay and was always happy to have a chat or help with anything. We’ve stayed in plenty of places before, but it’s the people that you remember, and they definitely made this place special for us. We genuinely felt at home here and were actually sad to leave! Would 100% recommend staying here and we’d definitely come back again. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday such a memorable one! ❤️
