Where to start? Firstly, our host Pete - welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home. Offered refreshments shortly after arrival, our room was beautiful and warm, bed comfy and room had its own TV, small fridge, seating area and coffee and tea making, plus chocolates and a complementary bottle of a really good wine. The house is just gorgeous as are the gardens, full of interesting furniture and antiques. It is rustic in places, and that for us felt far more homelike and comfortable than somewhere that looked like it was prepped for a photo shoot. Our host was generous and gave full measure with his provisioning, his hospitality and, most importantly, himself. Thank you Pete.

Loved all the antique furniture in the house and Pete was a terrific host. Great value for money. Lovely gardens, well maintained. Great breakfast.
Wonderful bedding, but towels badly need replacing.
