Casa do Mercador

Gostei da casa,era espaçosa e bem aproveitada. A piscina também era fantástica.

Os tetos são de madeira e a parte traseira das camas também,ouvia-se a noite inteira os bichos a comer a madeira e o barulho tornou-se insuportável, não deu praticamente para descansar. A casa também não tem forno, infelizmente por mais que se queira comprar algo mais prático, não é possível ser feito.

Las camas podrían ser algo más cómodas y mejorar la iluminación del recinto como del interior de la casa.

Het personeel was ontzettend behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Er werd met ons meegedacht. De gedeelde fasciliteiten (zwembad en padelbaan) waren heel fijn om gebruik van te mogen maken. En de locatie was mooi

De woonkamer van ons huisje was best wel donker en we misten meerdere vuilniszakken. Ik kon wel dagelijks om een nieuwe vragen aan iemand van de staff, maar het was fijner geweest om meerdere tot je beschikking te hebben.

The apartment is spacious and located in a good area for exploring the region. It is within easy driving distance of beautiful places such as Mata da Albergaria, Cascata do Arado, Portela do Homem and several praias fluviais, making it a convenient base for visiting the Gerês area. We also appreciated the swimming pool, the padel court and the fact that pets are welcome, which is a big plus for those travelling with dogs.

Unfortunately, the apartment did not feel properly equipped or maintained. Basic items such as a corkscrew were missing, and when we ran out of toilet paper there was no way to get more, so we had to buy it ourselves. Some lights were not working, suggesting that routine checks are lacking. The apartment had a strong smell of humidity, and many curtains and window frames showed visible mould. Opening the windows helped with the smell, but the lack of mosquito screens meant the apartment quickly filled with flies. We later discovered that a rug in the bedroom smelled of dog urine. Sound insulation between apartments is very poor, and noise from the upstairs guests early in the morning made it difficult to sleep. The bedroom was also the only room without blackout curtains, which was inconvenient. Finally, the ground-floor apartment offers very little privacy because the shared garden is used as a passageway by other guests, so you either keep the curtains closed or feel like you're living in a fishbowl.
