About this house rental

I have a beautiful cottage on Legacy Hills Golf Course and just a 5 min walk to our private community beach on Pinelake. It has 2 bedrooms 1 Full bath. All remodeled. Sleeps 6.It has 1 queen bed, 2 twin x-long beds, 2 full size sofas . Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave and washer & dryer. Beautiful views of the golf course from the big deck out front or private patio in the backyard. The cottage has central air, wifi, cable tv in all rooms and DVD players with provided DVD’s. I also provide a variety of board and card games.There is a grill in the backyard with a wood fire pit & a gas fire pit on the front patio as well as lots of outdoor backyard games for all ages . The cottage has everything you need so you can just unpack and enjoy. The cottage is pet friendly for an additional pet fee of 20.00 dollars per day.No more than two dogs over 50lbs . The yard isn't all the way fenced in so I provide a chain outside..My cottage is on a dead end street so parking is limited to only 3 cars. I also have wonderful neighbors so we expect our guests to respect there privacy and not get to loud. There is so much to do in Laporte and the surrounding areas. Great restaurants, Fishing Casinos,Lighthouse mall,Lake Michigan,Notre dame, Wine tours And so much more.

Always travel with our dogs and Amber is a dog lover also. The house has a homey feel and well stocked with whatever you or your pups may need. Very nice backyard area with leads for the dogs, horseshoe pit and fire pit. Great private view of the golf course. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I just stayed at Papas cottage. The cottage was very clean and the owner paid much attention to details to make sure we had all we needed in the home. She also responded quickly to any questions we had .The house has vintage look but very updated inside. Great place for a quiet long weekend for two close to the local attractions. Definitely would recommend .

We were looking for a place to get my brother out of the city (Chicago) for his birthday. My family of four shared this property with him and his spouse and it was perfect. Thoughtful amenities such as games and outdoor leisure would have supported us having a great time at the house alone, however the town of La Port had so many unique things to do that we wished we had a little more time! I highly recommend this listing.

The location is very peaceful & serene. We appreciated the "little extras" Amber provided which made our stay even more enjoyable! The kitchen remodel really helped the cottage feel more open & the large dining table was a great feature since it could easily accommodate 6 people. Cosy cottage which was a short walk to beach. Beach was pretty private but does have steep steps down to it. The owner, Brandi checked in and was available quickly by email to answer any questions. She very kindly left dog treats for our dog which were appreciated. The house was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Plenty of space for us to stretch out. Beds were comfortable. Room with single beds is quite small and beds are pretty close together. We weren’t able to use the outdoors amenities due to weather, we picked a particularly rainy week but there seemed a lot of games, etc to entertain kids. Overall a nice experience. Only thing is the water - I felt no transparency that it is undrinkable. We found out with check in instructions that we needed to buy bottled. This didn’t turn out to be a big deal as we didn’t cook there. Still felt that should of been in up front description and reason I gave it a four and not five.

Papas cottage was perfect for hosting our family of four-updated and comfortable. Amber thought of every little detail. We especially loved the beach toys and chairs along with a wagon to haul it all. Pine lake was not crowded and perfect for our 10 and 13 year old to try tubing for the first time. And we were a short drive from Lake Michigan excursions and a trip to the dunes.

Would love to stay here again! It was more spacious than it looks in the pictures. Everything was very clean and it was nice to have the air purifier too. Everything you could need is provided. The only thing I wish was said beforehand was directions to walk to the private beach, but I asked and Amber answered almost immediately. She was super repsonsive to any question or concern. Also it was close to shopping, food, and a short ride to the Dunes! You won't regret booking Papa's Cottage!

My husband and I stayed in the cottage during a holiday weekend to visit family. We weren’t at the house much, but it was a nice place to relax and I think it would be a lot more fun had we had the time to enjoy the lake and hang out. We’ve stayed at a variety of houses over the past few years and this was the most well stocked with plenty of kitchen items, cleaning supplies, movies, and games. We only had a couple issues-the back door’s door handle came off but we were lucky enough to find a screwdriver and reattach it-super simple. The other issue was the check out guidelines. Amber did provide what to clean and such but I received that communication the morning of check out. I would have liked to receive it earlier so I knew what the expectations were.
