An escape on the lake with amazing views

Location location - located right in the centre of Bellano on the lakefront - amazing views to wake up to. Apartment well set up and spacious. Well located for connecting to ferries or train to other villages on the lake and some lovely restaurant and cafe options. Host was easy to communicate with and accommodated us with early access which was appreciated. Would highly recommend Bellano as a base to explore the area further - still has a lovely authentic village feel.

Perfect place to stay. We were so glad we stayed in Bellano and not in one of the busier towns.

Fantastic location right near the ferry terminal and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very comfortable apartment for 2 couples. Lovely views of the lake from all rooms. I would highly recommend.

Perfect location for reasonable price.

Location was perfect with stunning views. The appartment was bigger than expected and stayed nicely cool even in hot temperatures. Separate kitchen and living room is very convenient.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

We flew to Milan and then took two trains, one to Milan Centrale and the next to Bellano, the accommodation about a 7 minute walk from the station. The location of the apartment was perfect, each room had an amazing view of the lake (not the bathroom though), with a beautiful back drop of the hills and mountains. All the rooms were nicely appointed. Ferry port just across the road which was very handy. Little deli and bakery a couple of doors down, so we would pick up freshly baked bread daily, along with other bits. A few cafe bars and restaurants all within walking distance. It was the perfect base and nice to come away to a quieter place at the end of the day. You are right on top of the Orrido di Bellano gorge which is worth a visit. Good base for Bellagio, Varenna and Mennagio which we did all by ferry. Trains and ferries ran to time for us. I emailed the host a couple of times and he got back to us very promptly. If I get the opportunity, I would stay there again.

There was absolutely nothing we did not like, but be aware there are quite a few stairs to the top floor (about 50). I am 62 and fairly active, so it was not an issue for my friend and I. And we had two x 15kg luggage as well, so make sure you are strong to haul your luggage up the stairs! There is a nice buzz from the cafes around in the evening, but all you had to do was shut the windows at night time to sleep which were very soundproof.

Good communication with owner. Fantastic location overlooking the lake and the ferry, clean and comfortable, close to station, ferry and a variety of cafe’s. Traffic usually died down at night, some noise from cafe’s below but it was wonderful being able to observe the vibe that is Italy.

A little piece of Paradise on Lake Como

Its location was amazing opposite the water. Maria was so easy to deal with and the apartment well appointed (even with the little things in the kitchen like paper towel, paper, salt/pepper, sugar and oil) to help make it feel like home. The beds were really comfortable. Bellano is a small town and we walked the hills and took trips to Lecxo on train and ferry down to Como (make sure you book the fast ferry back)

Beautiful, relaxing and a hidden gem in the Lake Como region.

The location was amazing - overlooking the lake from every room, and lots of good food options within 2 minutes walk. Ferry port within 2 mins too. Rooms were also huge which was most welcome.

A smart TV that allowed for streaming services would have been nice.

Stunning view, great location, clean and very suitable for a relaxed (family) stay

The location of the apartment is great. The closest grocery store and restaurant/pizzeria is literary 1 min from the apartment. 1 min to the ferry if you want to enjoy the lake and discover other cities. The view to the lake and mountains is fabulous. 5 min walk to the Orrido di Bellano gorge (very beautiful, highly recommended to visit). The apartment looks renovated and clean. Car parking in 5 min (a few cost-free spots) or paid between 8:00 and 20:00 (as of OCT 2024 1,5€ / hour) at the lake (2-3 min walk). In the later case, it can be paid via the App remotely.

Everything was great for us, but keep in mind there is no lift/elevator, and you need to walk the stairs to the 2nd florr. Not too bad for Italian standards, but not suitable for disabled people.

The apartment was spacious, modern and very comfortable.and exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect - it had a lake view from all the rooms and is close to the train station and ferry terminal.

They can do with providing more mugs - there were only 2 mugs available.

The location was more than perfect, apartment was bright, spacious and clean. Bed linen was so nice :)

In the main bedroom the bed mattrasses were overused however we have told it to the host already.

A brilliant stay

It was exceptionally clean and spacious and lovely views of the lake. The sitting room was comfortable and the bath room fantastic.

As end of Oct it was quite chilly in the apartment. Also would prefer a better quantity sheet that was white rather than patterned as didn’t feel cosy.

Great location, apartment well equiped, owner was really nice.

Needed to bring tax money to the owners office or send via paypal, couldn’t leave it in cash which was bit inconvenient. All rest was great.

loved everything about the apartment. large and spacious. the most amazing views from every room. would have happily sat in the apartment all day just looking out the window. very close to bars/Resaurant/ferry we got the train and only 8 mins walk- flat- from the train station

Unbeatable location!

Fantastic location!!! Easy coordination and key setup to get in. Comfortable beds, a nice bathroom and lots of space. There was a washing machine too.

No elevator and have to carry your luggage 3 flights of stairs. Not a deal braker for me. Wifi was weak and could not make calls using my cell phone due to poor reception. No dryer but had a drying rack, however, it took some clothes over 12 hrs to dry.

Beautiful like view

The location is amazing, the apartment is located on the main street, facing the lake. Very convenient for visiting the nearby sites. Clean, recently renovated and decorated with beautiful modern art paints.

The windows had no curtains, so the rooms never get dark at night. It would have been welcoming having some hand soap.

Everything was perfect, even better than the photos. The apartment was very well isolated and we couldn’t hear anything from the street below even though it was a fairly busy one. If I ever go back to Como Lake I’ll stay there once more for sure.

Exceptional

We loved everything! Every room has a magnificent view of the lake. The beds are really comfortable and good quality bedding. It was very clean and easy to keep warm during the icy weather. I loved that there were condiments and tea and coffee in the cupboard. The position couldn't be better! Surrounded by great restaurants, bakery and a fun little bar which serves good and warming panini together with delicious wines by the glass. Plenty of good walks and alleyways to explore in the area. It was very very hard to leave and I am sure we will be back. Thank you for everything Maria!

Everything about the accommodation was perfect, it just would have been good to have more information about the parking situation. It was really expensive (converting from our currency)and we only found out on our last day that we could have had a big discount if we had paid in a lump sum for three days. We were only there for two days but it still would have been half the price to pay for three!
