The Sunset Nest

We had a great stay at the Sunset Nest, I'd rate it an 11 out of 10 if I could ☺️!! We loved the neighbourhood the apartment is located in, the view out over the city & the hospitality of Valeria & the hosts. The apartment was charming, although it's small it's very clean & comfortable. Valeria met us & ran through everything in the apartment, as well as giving us good suggestions of where to go. There's also a comprehensive information book in the apartment, which is well worth reading. A supermarket is just 2 minutes away as well restaurants, cafes & shops, and a fantastic viewpoint is just up the road. But the street the apartment is in is quiet & calm, a pleasant respite after the chaos in the centre. The hosts were generous with their welcome gifts & also with supplying enough coffee for our stay (& a great coffee machine!), and washing detergent for the washing machine. As well as other staples like olive oil, salt sugar etc. We stayed 4 nights but could have stayed longer, we were so comfortable. It's in  an older part of the city, so we knew to expect an old building - which means no elevator, nor air conditioning & a bathroom that's not modern (but it's very clean!). So you do need to be able to manage 1 flight of stairs for this apartment. There's a great ceiling fan in the bedroom for nighttime & because the apartment's up high, there was always a breeze through the windows. There are also shutters to block the sun. Everything's been thought of, generous number of hangers, an airer & pegs, umbrella & poncho in case of rain, full length mirror etc. The apartment's within easy reach of a tram stop but we only caught it up once as it is very busy (it's the iconic no. 28 tram). We just walked up & down the hill but there are tuktuks, or taxis, you could catch if the tram queue is too long and the steep slope is too much for you.

Emplacement central permettant de rayonner en transport en commun et à pied dans plusieurs des endroits touristiques de Lisbonne. Petit appartement pour deux, mais fonctionnel et très propre. Propriétaires très accueillants et qui répondent rapidement à toutes questions.

L'accès au micro-ondes est difficile en raison de sa hauteur et pourrait s'avérer même dangereux.

Wohnung war gut ausgestattet, tolle Aussicht vom Fenster, Bus- und Straßenbahnhaltestelle gleich ums Eck. Nette Gastgeber und unkomplizierte Kommunikation.

The flat is spacious with two sleeping rooms and two living rooms, one with a great view on the city. The young lady who welcomed us in person was kind and helpful. As the street is a dead end, there is no traffic, and the flat is very quiet. This was one of our favorite staying place of our whole trip through Portugal.
