Casa Chigi

The host was very proactive and contacted me a week before our stay with various instructions and recommendations of places to eat, buy supplies, etc. Once we arrived I couldn't find the keys but a quick phone call revealed their hidden location. The apartment is small but as described and is part of a residential development with local families living all around which I quite liked. Parking outside the apartment is very limited and I ended up double-parked when loading the bike when leaving, but the private garage was perfect for storing our motorcycle securely. The induction hob ws great for cooking our evening meals and the location was great - just a few minutes drive/ride from Bormio and with amazing mountain views just a step or two away from the front door. The centre of Veldidentro is a few minutes walk away (but very steep climb back!). Fantastic location for exploring the Stelvio Pass and other Alpine routes.

The bedrooms are tiny (with fairly soft mattresses) - a family of four may find themselves tripping over each other, but for two of us it was OK. The second bedroom has no window. The washing machine is the tiniest I've ever seen (but we managed to wash a few days' worth of basic clothes in one load - just!) and the only drying facility is a small hanging rack in the bathroom, we had to dry clothes around the apartment. Cooking facilities are basic beyond the good induction hob - no oven or microwave. I couldn't find a vegetable peeler or chef's/veg knife.

La casa è davvero molto pratica e funzionale, perfetta per quattro amici. La consiglio a chi cerca una sistemazione alla mano, comoda ed economica a pochi chilometri da Bormio. Noi vi abbiamo soggiornato dopo una giornata alle terme e ci siamo trovati benissimo: ha soddisfatto pienamente le nostre esigenze, ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio. Inoltre, abbiamo trovato la casa molto pulita e ben curata, non mancava nulla. Torneremo senza alcun dubbio!

Casa ben tenuta anche se molto datata. Era presente tutto il necessario. Box grande e comodo. Posizione buona per Bormio e dintorni. La proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile e casa molto pulita. Prezzo in linea con il servizio offerto.

Lavatrice funzionante, ma minuscola e molto datata. Caloriferi con temperatura massima impostabile solo a 20 gradi (casa fredda) sopratutto con bimbi piccoli. Da rivedere fornello a gas molto datato e presenza di bombola a gas in casa, anche se presente dispositivo di rilevazione monossido. No presenza lavastoviglie. Appartamento monolocale con due letti a castello in due camerette minuscole.
