Eco tourism done with minimal effort.

The idea of being in an eco cabin, with a small carbon footprint appeals to us. The bed was comfortable. A choice of pillow would have enhanced our stay. The available pillows were rather firm/thick and did not give much.

The cabin is an off-the-shelf slow cabin, placed close to a second cabin. Placing could have been better with more view/privacy. Two planks had come loose, of the decking, needing a few screws. Inside a kitchen cabinet door was also loose. It wouldn't have taken many minutes to repair. The website mentions a welcome pack which was not present. Overall it feels like we are paying an average amount for a weeks stay in a low cost cabin.

The fire alarm was a bit too sensitive. Every time we opened the oven while heating up a pizza, the alarm went off. There was no smoke whatsoever. But I suppose better too sensitive than the opposite. However, it gave everyone in the house a fright for no reason.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Heel compleet en comfortabel. Vloerverwarming, zelf te regelen. Vaatwasser. Eigen terrasje. Een raam in de slaapkamer met een hor, echt fijn. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid vlakbij. Heerlijk rustig gelegen.

Ik vond de handdoeken wat stug en hard. En ik had pech met buren die urenlang harde dreunende muziek aan hadden staan. De eigenaren hebben dit gelukkig goed opgelost; echt top zoals ze aandacht hebben voor hun gasten!

Festivalcamping voor een weekend

Fijn bed en terrasmeubels, leuk terras en de centrale keuken en woonkamer van de camping waren ook erg fijn!

De ontsteking van de gaspitten was kapot, er was ook geen afwasmiddel en de compost toilet was erg klein dus nogal gevoelig voor foutjes..

Heerlijke ervaring, basic maar niet oncomfortabel

Een weekend in het chalet van Aldörrum was voor ons heerlijk ontspannend. Het is een van oorsprong als off-the-grid ontworpen tinyhouse, dat hier aan de rand van de camping gelukkig wel is aangesloten op waterleiding en elektriciteit. Desondanks is de oorspronkelijke gedachte zoveel mogelijk vastgehouden: geen televisie, compost toilet (wat verrassend goed werkt en wat ons betreft geen nadeel was!), geen afwasmachine, geen koffie machine etcetera. Maar... daarvoor wel goede kwaliteit spullen, zoals een echt italiaans espressokannetje, mooie katoenen handdoeken, degelijke meubels, emaille pannenset en duurzame zeep. Koelkast (zonder vriesvak), bestek, pannenset, schalen, bekers en glazen zijn voldoende aanwezig, evenals een kookwekker. Naast de drie vaste lichtpunten zijn er ook gezellige lampjes op accu, waarvan sommige met zonne-energie worden opgeladen en een andere via USB. Het chalet heeft een grote schuifpui, met een ingebouwde hor die de insecten effectief buiten houdt. Fantastisch! Voor het chalet, naar de rand van het terrein gericht bevindt zich een heel ruim terras met comfortabel meubilair, waar het heerlijk vertoeven is. De camping is verder kleinschalig en heel gezellig waardoor de ligging van het chalet wat mij betreft ideaal is. De auto kan vlakbij geparkeerd worden, terwijl in- en uitpakken direct bij het chalet mogelijk is. De beheerders zijn bijzonder vriendelijk en makkelijk aan te spreken en doen met merkbare passie echt hun best om het je als gast naar de zin te maken. De omgeving is mooi en er zijn leuke activiteiten in de buurt. Tevens op zeer korte loopafstand (overburen) een golfterrein met uitstekende brasserie.

Omdat er gewoon stromend water is, is de grote waterfles op het aanrecht overbodig. Hier zou ik liever een gewoon filterkoffiezet apparaat of beter passend misschien zo'n kleine Nespresso hebben gehad. Ook een elektrische waterkoker mist, dat moet nu heel eco-onvriendelijk met een pannetje op het gasfornuis. In het kader van de eco-gedachte zou in dat geval een thermoskan met koffiefilter er bovenop ook een passende oplossing kunnen zijn. We misten een extra plankje in de badruimte (bijv. onder de spiegel) om de standaard spulletjes kwijt te kunnen en haakjes om de washandjes op te hangen. Ook een droogrek om kleding en de handdoeken buiten te kunnen laten drogen zou fijn zijn. Een luifel boven het terras zou heel fijn zijn (zowel tegen felle zon als ook tegen de regen), maar daar zijn de beheerders al mee bezig, begreep ik. Denk eraan dat de weinige aanwezige wandcontactdozen van het Belgische type zijn; euro stekkers passen er goed in, maar de meeste standaard stekkers met randaarde die we in Nederland kennen passen niet. Ook veel USB laders zullen hinder hebben van de naar voren stekende aarde-pin. Aanbeveling is een (Nederlands) verlengsnoer mee te nemen met een stekker met een gat erin (wat tegenwoordig vrijwel standaard is).

Erholung pur in warmherzigem Ambiente

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in einem der Appartements, und diesmal war es noch erfreulicher als beim ersten Mal. Die neuen, sehr sympathischen Besitzer stecken viel Herzblut und Liebe in ihren kleinen Campingplatz - so viele Annehmlichkeiten (Hängematten, Feuerstelle, Aufenthaltsräume, kleiner Kaffeeplatz) haben wir auf so einem kleinen Platz noch nicht gesehen. Alles sehr romantisch mit vielen Blumen und wunderschön ruhige Lage direkt an Feld und Wald. Wir haben die kleine Terrasse mit Feldblick sehr genossen, das Appartement war bequem, blitzsauber und geräumig. 200 Meter weiter gibt es noch ein Bistro-Restaurant wo man Essen und Kaffeetrinken kann. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Wir haben nichts zu bemängeln, es war genau das Gesuchte. Wer in die Großstadt will, sucht eh woanders ;-).

Das Tiny House ist sehr gut eingerichtet und groß genug für zwei Personen. Die Terrasse ist riesig und bietet auch Schatten, wenn man ihn braucht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett!

Man kann nur die Schiebtür öffnen und somit nicht quer lüften. Damit dauert es lange, bis die Hitze nachläßt. Zusätzliche Verschattungsmöglichkeiten (von außen?) wären bei Hitze hilfreich.

Het is een prima chalet met goeie privacy. Alles aanwezig, zodat je je goed kan redden. Goeie douche en keuken!

Iets om in gedachten te houden is dat er een compost wc in het chalet aanwezig is en geen normale wc. Dit wisten wij van tevoren niet. Op zich niks mis mee, maar na 3 dagen begint het zaagsel ook te ruiken en wordt het allemaal niet zo hygiënisch meer.

Groot appartement voor samen . Lekkere bank om op te zitten . Tijdens ons verblijf wat er een probleem met de warmtepomp waardoor het in de avond wat kil werd in de woonkamer, de eigenaar heeft dit netjes met ons opgelost .

De douche weg erg nat als je onder de douche stond, er was ook geen douche mat dus voorzichtig met eruit stappen
