Un sejur de neuitat! Am fost cazați într-o suită de două camere, fiecare cu baie proprie (iar asta spune mult despre importanța pe care gazda o acordă confortului oaspeților, în primul rând). Amenajare cu mult bun gust, păstrând aerul autentic al caselor săsești, plus câteva piese de mobilier vechi, originale. O atmosferă calmă și caldă, confortabilă. Dar piesa de rezistență e locul de luat masa, cu stâlpi și grinzi vechi de 150 de ani, perfect consevate și întreținute. Mi s-a părut un privilegiu să fim serviți pe o masă din stejar masiv recuperat la reamenajare. Preparate din produse naturale, din gospodărie sau de la producători locali, gătite după rețete vechi reinterpretate și rafinate. Gustul mâncării adevărate știut din copilărie și dus la alt nivel. O experiență culinară de excepție! PS. O mențiune specială pentru lichiorul de coacăze negre produs în gospodărie (la fel ca toate băuturile, dealtfel) :)

Owner made considerable and laudable conservation efforts. Rooms have painted furniture and original items (e.g., dowry chests). Dinner tables are made from old oak beams. There is mostly good taste in renovation and extension choices. The place does not seem children friendly. Yet we had an infant with us and felt very welcome. Host is genuinely affable and amenable (to a point). I wonder why she draws the line where she does, but that is her prerogative. Some guests may find that absurd and/or unacceptable. Breakfast is included and otherwise generous. Upon request, she cooked for us. It was one of the best meals we had in the area! Yes, I am generally impressed both with the property and services.

I struggled to make sense of the host's insitance on using a tray for wine glasses. But I complied. Her house, her rules! Perhaps she fears that wine might stain the oak or that drinks might be spilled because of irregularities in the surface.

The location, the yard, the room details, the host, the breakfast, the wine. Great taste and obviously care to every detail.

Not a dislike, just a reminder for any guest that the hot water is by boiler and you must be efficient. In order to appreciate everything, you must understand where you are and addapt.
