Ferienwohnung Brigitte

Die Gastgeberin hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen, uns alles erklärt und den Schlüssel übergeben. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist perfekt, vom großen Balkon mit Sitzmöbeln hatten wir eine Aussicht auf den Odenwald und ein bisschen die Stadt. Die Ausstattung war umfassend und alles, was ich mir in der Küche, dem Bad und dem Wohnraum wünschen konnte, war da - sogar ein Gaskamin, mit schöner Flamme. Auch die Verdunklungsmöglichkeiten zum Schlafen waren perfekt. Mit meinem kleinen schmalen Auto konnte ich direkt vor dem Haus parken, mit einem größeren Auto wird dies wahrscheinlich nicht möglich sein.

Die Ferienwohnung wäre perfekt gewesen, nur leider gab es eine Einschränkung für mich: die Matratze wirkte auf mich uneben bzw. durchgelegen, so dass ich leider kaum Schlaf fand.

The owner met us at the apartment and gave us a tour of the property including how to access the building, and use some of the facilities. The apartment was spacious and provided lovely views of the valley surrounding the village. The apartment was close to the main part of the village, and a short walk to the main street and bakeries. The owner has a great coffee machine in the apartment which provides both Kaffee and Espresso (hint: if you like Americano style coffee, press the small button for espresso and then fill with hot water; the Kaffee option (big button) is not good [if you like coffee]). The owner was very helpful and provided additional options for exploring that we would be doing whilst visiting.

Two things we didn't like, were outside the control of the owner. First was the street in which the apartment is located was being replaced, so it was difficult to figure out how to get to the apartment without going through a do not enter sign (the locals appeared to just ignore this sign). The second was parking, as there is no private parking available, we had to park on the street, but as the road was being dug up, this was not an option. We did struggle with the heating system in the apartment as it got very hot at night, but through communicating with the owner, we were able to get the temperature right for the last night we were there.
