Location was great. Nice size unit. Direct access to beach. Quiet. Perfect outlook. Very relaxing. Beautiful sunrises.
All the timber was nice but a bit dated. Stale smell in the unit and kitchen cupboards. Ensuite shower had terrible drainage. Bedroom cupboard was old, dated and smelt stale. Outdoor pavers need replacing/updating. BBQ was too old and unusable. The outdoor furniture in the above unit was very loud when dragged across the deck.

We had a beautiful stay at Wongalinga. The apartment itself was wonderful, and the view of the ocean/beach spectacular.

Unfortunately, the apartment we stayed in wasn’t the one we booked through Booking.com. When we arrived at the resort we had been given the wrong instructions and assigned a ground floor apartment No 7 instead of the 1st floor 2 bed apartment No. 9 that we originally booked. We contacted the property managers Tropical Endeavours and spoke to a Bonnie who basically blamed us and Booking.com for the errors. After an argument she admitted that the upstairs apartment hadn’t been cleaned, but we could take it if we wanted to, or stay in Apartment 7. Having no other options we reluctantly accepted this proposal. Sorting this matter out took 90 minutes and left us exasperated with Tropical after a 500km drive and it didn’t get any better when we received further correspondence from the office blaming Booking.Com for the error, although there was an acceptance of blame towards the end offering us 10% discount. Please see e-mail chain. Up to this point all the other bookings we made via Booking.Com had been trouble free and high quality apartments. So you can imagine our disappointment when we were forced to accept an apartment that was not to our liking. We would therefore like this matter investigated please.
Although it was spacious the apartment No. 7 was very dark being surrounded by trees compared with the light and airy apartment No 9 upstairs, which we had originally booked.
