The entire experience of accessing this beautiful guesthouse, being welcomed by Marcello and Carlita and the staff and staying a couple of days with my family there was really amazing. Marcello and Carlitta are really wonderfull and they do their upmost to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They also make almost all products for breakfast and dinner locally on their farm like estate, really amazing and tastefull.

The wifi could have been better but as soon as we mentioned that to Marcello and Carlita they came into action to have this resolved.

Wow — that’s truly the first word that comes to mind after staying at this incredible hacienda. It is, without a doubt, one of the coolest places we’ve ever visited, both in terms of the journey to get there and the experience of staying on the property. The owner and his wife are exceptional hosts — warm, welcoming, and genuinely wonderful people who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Breakfast was delicious, the property itself is absolutely breathtaking, and the setting is pure magic. Getting there is an adventure in the best possible way, and if you enjoy a bit of excitement, you’ll love the journey. Once you arrive, it’s just you, the mountains, and complete serenity — an unforgettable experience. The hacienda is spotless, beautifully maintained, and truly special. I honestly can’t recommend this place highly enough. A 10 out of 10 out of 10 across the board. We loved it so much that we made friends with the owner and are already planning our second trip back to this stunning property.

We love it all, nothing to dislike

The location is truly extraordinary. The hacienda is located next to a nature reserve amidst beautiful vegetation and impressive landscape. The hacienda can only be reached with a tarabita, a cable car crossing a canyon with spectacular views onto a waterfall. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay special. They also prepared local food, including the trouts that we could fish in a pond right next to the restaurant.

Hacienda Guamag is set in a calm and beautiful place that has no road access and can be reached by tarabita. by crossing the gorge with a beautiful view over the waterfall you leave hassle behind and enter beautiful place run by a super host Marcelo and his family. We traveled with two kids and they loved everything about the place - tarabita ride, trout pond to fish own dinner, swing under the tree. The room was also very nice with two big comfortable beds. excellent stay! highly recommended.
