Sea View Villa with Pool facing Ortigia, Etna View

The Villa was lovely, lots of different areas to make use of all very well set up. The location was fantastic too; lots of beaches nearby and great restaurants. It was really easy to get to Syracuse as well and also quick down from Catania airport. So much to see and do in the area beyond beaches as well. Rita was extremely helpful and very quick to respond if we had a question. She and her husband came to greet us and see us off, giving a personal touch to the whole stay. They were wonderful hosts and it was a great stay.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Villa a Sud, the house is very nice and well maintained/updated. There are 6 bedrooms out of which 2 have en-suite bathrooms and for the rest of 4 bedrooms are 3 additional full bathrooms. [ Two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor and 4 bedrooms, one large living room which opens into a large terrace and 3 bathrooms on the first floor]. There's also a very well equipped kitchen that also opens to a small terrace in the back of the house, with a table with umbrella and a grill/barbeque device. The garden is very nice and well maintained. There are about 3 - 4 parking spaces in front of the house, near the entrance in the house. Lots of spaces to stay in the sun or protected by the sun in the garden and terraces. A quiet area, with a spectacular view from the first level over the sea and Siracusa old city. There are some restaurants nearby and a harbour for small boats (and fresh fish and sea food providers). But you definitely need a car for accessing the nearest grocery store or bakery or anything else (beaches with sand etc). It's a 15-20 minutes drive to Siracusa harbour and the old part of the city (Ortigia) which is wonderful. The hosts are very nice and helpful, they were very responsive to all our questions or request, and they welcome us with lots of fresh water and some prosecco in the fridge, absolutely useful for a very warm afternoon when we arrived. I definitely recommend their house for a (long) stay as a base to see all the wonders of Eastern and Southern Parts of Sicily.

All was good, the only thing is you definitely need a car/bike to move around, except two or three restaurants nearby, all others are not quite "walking distances".
