I booked a room with a balcony, got offered another room without a balcony, the other room was locked. I am a smoker so I always look for rooms either with a balcony, terrace or an easily accessible smokers’ area. Straight upon arrival I was presented with a piece of paper with some really weird rules on it - you can only smoke outside the building (yeah, fair enough, but I was given three keys to the front door and the outside door - they weren’t marked and constantly seemed to get stuck)!you can’t plug your own electrical devises anywhere in the room as it could be a fire hazards (I’m glad I took my power bank) you have to ask the owners for permission if you would like to invite a mate for a coffee, etc. I didn’t feel welcome there at all - just very uneasy. I am a frequent traveller all around Europe, and I have never ever came across anything like that. The lady who gave me the keys kept saying guests are not allowed in the room - I mean, come on, I wasn’t going to invite round every Jack, Jill and Karen and hold a massive party. Also, there is no WiFi.
