Very clean, comfortable bed.
Need a curtain or blind over main door as light flooded in from frosted glass from garden lights.

Excellent location. First class room. Easy parking.Friendly staff. Excellent food . Very reasonable prices.
Tatty decoration in bar area. Paint seriously needed on all access doors . Sweet machine needs removal. Good Quality decoration in Restaurant area spoilt by approach. V poor WiFi and phone reception in room.

Access to location was very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Food choices on menu very good. Comfortable public areas.
Fridge located in room, was noisy. Depending on choice of food, some portions were extremely large.

We had Dinner on the night we arrived and the food quality and quantity were exceptional!
Bed was most comfortable and location /parking was great.
Very close to Beccles which is a great town with plenty of things to see and do.
Only criticism we could find would be that the bathroom could do with more shelving to put toiletries etc on, The large bowl sink had no space left on the vanity unit and the shower did not have any shelf to place shampoo and razor.
A bath mat would have been welcome as the highly glazed floor tiles were very slippery!
A couple more plug points to charge phones/ hairdryers etc without having to unplug TV and Fridge plugs would be welcome in the room itself?

Easy to locate. Staff were very accommodating letting us eat an hour earlier than booked and having breakfast ready at 8am so we did not need to rush as early appointment. Room had what we needed for an overnight stay. Food was exceptional. Kettle, water, tea, coffee and milk-was appreciated after a long car journey.
Decor was fun, but a little lively when trying to get to sleep. Shower a little small for my husband and pipes get very hot if you accidentally touch them whilst picking up your shampoo. Room was a little dark for applying make-up but lovely for ambient lighting.

The rooms are very quirky and pretty
The bed was very comfortable
The door was difficult to get into because of the door lock both myself and my husband tried and a member of staff she had to go and get someone else to

The room was very nice , ease at check in . Very convenient for visiting local family
The room didn’t have an abundance of plug sockets , none were close to a mirror if wishing to style hair . No long length mirror so not an ideal set up if attending a function but rather deal for us as in this occasion just visiting family and no need to dress up

Easily accessible
Lots of unnecessary paraphernalia dotted about the public areas.

Room was spotlessly clean and well stocked with the necessities. All staff were friendly and efficient, in particular in the breakfast room. Ample parking.
Bathroom layout (just a comment as I appreciate it is too late!). If the toilet was turned through 90 degrees it would be much easier to use.............

Breakfast was excellent.
Room was spotless and had everything required.
Setting was great...loved the little individual "lodge" buildings set in nice garden.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Met or exceeded all expectations.

Great place to spend a couple of nights
Nothing really, all good. If I was being picky then a larger fridge would be handy

Superb breakfasts (cooked by the Owner on Dec 26th who obviously has not lost his touch!). I was charged £8 for each which I think is actually too cheap. £10 is the norm around the country, but the owner of course knows his clientele & consequently his marketing pitch better than me.
Well decorated & attractive comfortable rooms (but see below)
Difficult to keep on top of, even in one own's home, but small strips of damp and mould on the ceiling in the en suite (Room 14) due to poor ventilation. Extractor fan possibly not man enough for the job. As a daily staff routine suggest en suite windows should be left open for at least an hour post check out and check in

Lovely and clean
Nothing Apart from hving an autistic son who can unlock doors was a little stressful as he kept running off. could do with a separate lock at top of door

Everything!
Rooms were very comfortable + had everything we could have wanted - we had the suite & it was a great choice - we also had a king room & it was perfect for our older mum - no bath to climb into like most hotel rooms.
Staff were exceptional with their service & friendly welcome.
Christmas dinner was delicious & had all the trimmings - we also ate there Xmas Eve & the portions were huge with good quality food too.
Plenty of car parking for ease + we took our small dog with us too - plenty of short walks locally with friendly local people.
We will definitely be back.
Thank you to the team.

The location and general appearance of the hotel was great. The room itself was nicely decorated and spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities were nice and the addition of a mini fridge for milk was nice.
When we first got to the room we found the door to be quite difficult to open and lock, I think with some simple maintenance this would be fixed.
On first using the TV in the room, we had to plug this in, not an issue but odd that this was unplugged but a fan in the room wasn't (visit in December) turning the TV on we found it had zero channel available I thought "OK maybe because it was unplugged I will need to retune the TV) A simple job, however this didn't help. I was then I notice a 2nd cable behind the TV, the aerial had also been unplugged and rapped around the bracket out of view. Once I plugged this in and retuned the TV it was fine but perhaps don't leave it to the guest to plug these in.
The only other bit of feedback would be regarding the Bathroom, this was showing it's age, or at least it's use. Brackets loose or off the wall and the shower screen was discoloured as was the toilet seat.

I booked the honeymoon suite, it was amazing, and would chose to stay again if it is available.

The room was very comfortable and perfect for my needs. The restaurant was great and the food excellent, the Sunday carvery does get very busy but the food is worth waiting for.
There was a creature of some description in the ceiling of the room that i could hear scurrying about at night, i informed the staff and they are going to investigate. I am sure it is a squirrel that has found its way in to the warm.

Room / bed was very comfortable
Not really a criticism bit unfortunately the breakfast menu was not clear in that the full English was double portions of everything therefore was too much for any of our party unless you have a huge appetite. However the food itself was well cooked

Lovely and cosy rooms, very comfortable and warm. Well stocked with tea, coffee, milk and bottled water.
The food in the pub was delicious. As someone who is gluten free it was all yummy and safe, the best GF fish and chips I’ve ever had.
Staff were really helpful and friendly.
If I’m being picky, it was raining a lot when we were there and the guttering was leaking above our bathroom window.
Also the door was hard to close, but this is being picky and would in no way put me off going back.

Motel does understate this place. It is a pub with rooms, and very good ones at that. High specification - loved the mini fridge & even the subtle nod to Norwich FC - with the canary picture.
It has everything needed. Modern feel. Comfy bed. Good shower. Good TV. Quiet. Temperature control.
On bus route from Ipswich to Norwich via Beccles, with late bus.
They have done their very best & it shows.
The shower was the weak point. Small & a bit weak. But still did the job.
