The location was perfect for a peaceful family getaway. It was quiet all around and that's what I needed for a short family break. The beaches and attractions were a short drive away. You could get to Inverness in just about an hour on car. There was a huge Tesco less than 2 miles away so you are never short of grocery which is a relief, as it is a self-catering cottage. The host was an amazing gentleman who welcomed us warmly and was helpful throughout ur stay. He even gave useful recommendations for places to visit and traveling routes. Beds were all comfy, plenty of board games and toys for kids was a good touch. Size of accommodation and the area outside is definitely more than adequate for people who want to walk around and relax without leaving accommodation. There is good range of kitchen accessories and stove works brilliant. Moreover there is place to park your car securely.
There wasn't anything to dislike. Can't find any fault with the property or the host.

Great location with views over open farmland out towards the sea. The property had everything we needed and we enjoyed some drams on the balcony each evening. The Granary is in a small hamlet with plenty of off street parking.
To get anywhere is a short drive, but that was not really a big deal as we were visiting many differnt locations.

Location, layout, bathrooms, kitchen facilities, sitting room (seating, piano) were acceptable.
I was unable to speak to the owner via phone / message on the day of arrival - his mobile answerphone was in German, so I decided to contact him via Booking.com. Wi-Fi password not on display + TV and DVD player not working + property wasn’t clean. Telephone conversation with owner morning after arrival = Wi-Fi password was found and allowed access, but TV / DVD issue not resolved - as owner had to get back to his family, which meant we had no TV / DVD available for our 5 night stay. I did try all the suggestions he made re TV (no signal) to no avail, but when it became obvious there was indeed a problem and he asked me to remove scart cables = I refused, as I didn’t this was my responsibility and I might have created further problems.
Although advised the owner was waiting for “a couple of blinds for velux windows upstairs”, it was not made clear that this was for the bedrooms (2 in each room) = my mistake in assuming they would be for the hallway. This meant early awakening due to springtime daylight hours. Beds were comfy, but bedding and bedrooms were extremely ‘tired’ + cupboards and wardrobe were stuffed with blankets.
The property was very cold, especially later in the evening. I was given a full explanation of the new heating system from the owner and he agreed to increase the temperature from 20 to 22 degrees = little difference. I did not need to hear all the details regarding this type of heating, as my friend had this installed in her new property just under 2 years ago + we are currently considering same system!
The largest wheelie bin outside was over-flowing and the 2 recycling bins full to capacity on arrival = I confirmed with the owner, at the end of our stay, that we could separate our waste into 3 bags and leave these in the kitchen (pest control).
The kitchen, although appearing to have been surface cleaned, was a disgrace. The cupboards , drawers, swing bin and top of the units had not been thoroughly cleaned for a long...

Fantastic holiday home in quiet location. Equipped with everything needed for a time away from home. We enjoyed every minute, fireplace and a the back garden were a bonus. Contact with the owner was absolutely amazing.

Instructions on TV and internet could be clearer, but worked in end. Owner very helpful when we comntacted him about this.

Some plates still had dried food stuck to them, Incomplete heating system Radiators still to be fitted to 2 bedrooms only informed about this the day after we arrived. The back entrance door threshold was black with dirt and dead insects. Place mats and toaster have seen better days, The new heating system very good but no instructions. The day we left no hot water until about 0915 by which time we were ready to leave. Garden a bit untidy hadn't been cut for some time. The stair leading up to the outside balcony has nails sticking out from the wall. TV to small for size of room. Wouldn't take much to bring this property up to a better standard.

Location is great and the owner/staff are great to deal with. We left an item behind by accident and were promptly contacted to arrange pick up.
Unfortunately the cleanliness standard was not up to expectations especially when there a COVID cleaning book present. We found empty alcohol tin in the seating area , mould on the shower curtain and dried food on the bottom of plates in the cupboard. As previous reviewer stated the interior could very well do with an update.

Everything was great, house was lovely and cosy in a great location for Buckie. 8 of us stayed and there was plenty of space for all of us. Lovely fire with plenty of wood for burning, spacious kitchen and huge rooms. Host was helpful and accommodating. Will definitely return here.

maybe if people stay in the winter time maybe good idea to leave a shovel out somewhere. in case like us it what a little
hard to get out of the driveway because of some snow fall. other wise brillant( no big problem )
