Yellow Haven Lodge

We loved the gardens and the pool. The food was excellent, cooked fresh to order . Lovely cooks in the kitchen and all the staff were very helpful.

The rooms could do with a refurbishment.

It really was a haven - an oasis after a busy day in Kampala. The calm and relaxed atmosphere, animal noises and friendly staff was exactly what we needed.

A bat entered our room the last night and obviously, we were not able to sleep … We realize, this has nothing to do with the property and it is a part of exotic holiday. However, we are city people :-))

So close to KLA, but so quiet and relaxing, you forget the city exists. This property is on a side road with no traffic, and this is wonderful. The property was well kept and very beautiful. The staff was very attentive and we lacked nothing. Food was satisfying, and the pool was excellent.

I have no negatives. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful location on the edge of lake Victoria. Wonderful for bird watching, quiet and tranquil. Beautiful pool area. Fresh lemongrass tea. Lovely security guard.

Choice of food limited and expensive. Hardly any vegetarian or vegan choices. Not many traditional choices like matoke and gnuts. The room we stayed in by the pond was not good. The quilt was mouldy when I pulled back quilt cover. After 7pm we were in complete darkness except two tiny bedside lamps which gave off barely any light whatsoever. Walking to toilet in night in pitch darkness. Had to use torch. Asked for more lamps and was brought a very old and broken one. Plus lead not long enough to light middle of floor. Sloping floor. Nowhere to cook or store food.
