Paikalla ei ollut yhtään henkilökuntaa. Puhelimen välityksellä saimme kuitenkin tiedon huoneesta ja jääkaappiin tuodusta aamupalasta, joka oli ihan riittävä. Paikka oli siisti ja viihtyisä.
Olimme liikkeellä syyskuun lopulla ja oli jo aika viileää. Aamulla nurmikko oli huurteessa. Huoneessa ei ollut lämmitys päällä, eikö sitä saanut mistään päälle. Käytävässä oli yksi sähköpatteri lämpimänä, mutta se ei riittänyt ja olisi pitänyt nukkua ovi auki. Vietimme iltaa ulkovaatteet päällä, ja nukuimme pitkissä alusvaatteissa, joita onneksi oli mukana, kun olimme paluumatkalla Lapista.
