our host was so incredibly sweet and we did a great tour on the mekong.

the bed was quite hard and not the most comfortable

Ms Ha is a lovely lady. I understand the mixed reviews, but when you get to know her, she is warm and will do all she can. She is genuine and she gave me a lovely spacious room. I could work happily here, the bed was so comfortable and a lovely hot shower! She offered me her tour with no pressure, but I couldn't join and she understood. One night I was sick and she offered me a lovely soup.

I think this is a lovely place. For meeting others, it's a little tricky. Also, it would be nice to have a water refill in an accessible place where it's easy to refill water. Everything else I liked!

The room are nice and clean but the highlight of this homestay is the host, sometimes you feel like a visiting family members more than anything. She has been doing this for a while and offers wonderful tours with a lot of insights. I booked this place based on the reviews and to get an authentic experience in the city and it did not disappoint.

- the niece prepared breakfast which was very nice and lovely - always tea and fruits available (for free) - water and beer available for sale (and good prices) - location is great very close to everything important, can just walk to night market and restaurants and ATMs, etc. - Ms Ha will arrange for you to be picked up (for free) by Minibus if you have booked your Busses via FutaBus, which is very convenient - generally nice to have the “tour guide” as the house owner (Ms Ha), that way you have easy access to nice tours - Ms Ha really knows the locals so she might be able to give you some insight other might not be able to give you - Ms Ha speaks really good English, which is very convenient and helpful, she also always tries to help you (even tho you sometimes didn’t ask for it and maybe didn’t even want help) - Ms Ha prepared a nice breakfast for us for the morning of the boat tour on the water

- Ms Ha conducts the floating markets tours herself, and pressured us into doing all three tours even though, we said straight up we only had budget for one —> she didn’t respect our NO and then tried to bargain after we told her several times, that we would just like to do one tour. She responded “well what else are you going to do here?!” which really felt none of her business but she didn’t respect that - that was generally a problem: we said we didn’t want something and she did it anyways - e.g. she said she will take a picture of us on the boat and we said “no, thanks” and she insisted until she took my phone out of my hand and just took the pictures (we said so often, that we don’t want our picture taken and she just took our phones and did it anyways and bc she is also the host and we had two more nights booked, we struggled to find a balance between how rudely we could say NO without us feeling uncomfortable living under her roof) —> so we didn’t really feel comfortable anymore at that point.
