Munjoh Ocean Resort - Private Beachfront Luxury Retreat in Havelock

The stay was very good. The beach is beautiful. You have nice couches to relax on. Everything was clean on the beach and also in the room. The rooms are big and look exactly as in the photos. The service people are very friendly. They always greet and especially the property manager Sumitra actively asked how Munjoh can make our stay better. There was even a WhatsApp group where you could directly reach out to them anytime. They also made a really big advertisement for dinner in their restaurant, which was a little bit pushy from time to time, tough. The Indian breakfast that we had included, however, was really good. So special thanks go the kitchen team around Sakib and Durga! The loud music from the neighboring resort was there on one of the three nights. So there is the music, but it's not as bad as written in some reviews. We have to conclude that still €70 is too much money for the room and everything, if you compare it to mainland India - however, after some research, we found, that compared to the rest of the Island, this is one of the cheapest and best value for money offers that you can get. Strong recommendation!

The huts are not directly next to the beach. You have to walk 150m, this is different from the photos, but still really okay. The room smelled a little bit dump and musty (which, from our experience, to applied to many rooms, we had in India + it was rainy season). The loud music exists. The advertisement for their restaurant dinner was a bit pushy. €70 is too much for what you get, but a good price compared to the rest of the island.

Staff was brilliant

Didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel with regards to the facilities in the hotel. Needs better finishing as well.

It is situated on a pristine beach and in a very accessible location with close proximity to all good food joints.

1. No in house activity, children play area, no swimming pool etc 2. The quality of the food was terrible and the menu was limited, which created a lot of problem while eating at the resort.
