Caserio Los Partidos

We only stayed for one night, but we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very authentic and cozy, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful property surrounded by nature. We stayed there in summer, but the temperature in the mountains dropped to around 14°C at night. The room is heated with a gas heater, which was fine during our stay. One thing to keep in mind is that the wooden window frames are quite thin, so you can hear practically every sound from outside. Fortunately, the property was completely quiet at night, and the only thing we could hear was the sound of the wind, which actually made the atmosphere very peaceful. The breakfast is quite simple, but it is a big plus that breakfast is available on site — it was very convenient for us. Overall, we really liked the place and enjoyed the unique atmosphere. However, I am not sure how comfortable the room would be in more severe or colder weather, so this is something to keep in mind.

One small downside for us was the lighting in the room. The bright white lights were quite harsh and irritating, especially in such a cozy and authentic setting. I think the room would feel much more comfortable with warmer, softer, and more subdued lighting.

Isolated, quaint, laid back, beautiful (surroundings), family business, very friendly people, excellent value for money, good quality and tasty food, comfy beds

Nothing I didn’t like. That said, don’t go if you’re looking for luxury

Converted outbuilding on a farm with a very traditional rustic feel and a big log fire. Warm welcome, and excellent evening meal at reasonable cost.

Great location for hiking around Chinyero and the accommodation itself is very pretty. An old barn made of volcanic rock built centuries ago, fully renovated. It was like stepping back in time. The food provided was very good too and the staff were very friendly. They were even able to make for me a little picnic lunch for me the day I checked out because I had to leave early and miss breakfast.

Was a bit confusing figuring out the shower as it took a good few minutes for it to get hot, and I wasn’t sure which direction to turn the handle for hot water. The Wi-Fi was a bit patchy in my room but mostly worked well enough.
