Maxhof Trier

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment, situated at the back of the complex and surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside. It was very quiet and perfect for a relaxing stay. The apartment was nicely decorated and very well equipped, with a fully functioning kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space and two comfortable armchairs. An outdoor sitting area and the private free parking were also a great bonus, especially for us as we were travelling by car. Although there was no air conditioning, we didn’t miss it at all. Despite temperatures of around 30°C outside, the apartment remained pleasantly cool and comfortable. The host was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed for one night and had dinner in Trier, which was easily accessible by car. Overall, a charming, comfortable and peaceful place to stay, and we would happily return.

The only small negatives was the kitchen table: the table is much too high for the stools and feels a little too large for the small room. Also, although there was a kettle and coffee machine, it would have been nice to have some tea and coffee provided.

Het ligt naast een treinrail, niet veel last van gehad maar wel fijn om te weten.

The tracks and 24/7 freight transport are right in front of the house (literally) which makes it impossible to sleep with an open window, albeit this is needed for the apartment under the roof without air-conditioning.
