De kleinschaligheid, de rust en ruimte buiten en prima ontbijt in sfeervolle ruimte. Kamer is netjes en van alle gemakken voorzien.

Er viel ons niets tegen.

Jammer dat de horeca in het hotel al om 20:00 sluit.

The scenery and buildings were beautiful. The staff were really accommodating and friendly, when they were there. The room looked like it was recently refurbished, great shower and really comfy bed. There was a coffee pod machine, not instant coffee. The owner collected me from the train station as I arrived after dark and was on my own, and it was a 20 minute walk. That was really kind of them. Breakfast was very limited but there was some really nice bread including a delicious fruit bread.

Everything closed at 20:00, including the bar, and all the staff left. It was all dark and locked up and there was nothing to do in the evening. After a long day it would have been nice to relax with a beer in the evening. I had received an email saying the kitchen closed at 20:00, it didn't say everything closed. There is a brewery on site so this was very disappointing. On the first evening I was taken to my room through a door up some stairs. When I'd unpacked I went to go down to the bar and it was all dark and the door was locked. I was supposed to be going out to meet some colleagues but was literally locked in the building and couldn't go. I found out the next morning that there is a side door but I wasn't told this in the evening and it was actually quite scarey feeling locked in like that. I didn't know if anyone else was in the building. It was very odd. I had one evening meal there and it was very expensive and not very nice. It was grilled aubergine but it wasn't cooked properly. It was hard and I struggled to cut through the skin. It was very oily and smothered in mayonnaise. It cost €47 for the meal plus two small beers and one large beer. That worked out as roughtly €12 for a pint of beer - that's more than Dublin prices! More choice at breakfast would have been nice, like mushrooms, tomatoes and beans, hashbrowns etc
