Es war von Anfang an eine sehr gute Verständigung, sowohl vor und während unseres Urlaubes. Wir sind von Sabine und Keith super nett empfangen worden. Die Zwei sind für alles offen, hilfsbereit und sehr angenehm . Sie hatten für uns viele Tipps für schöne Ausflüge und leckere Restaurants. Sabine hat uns sogar kurzfristig ein Taxi bestellt, damit wir unseren Mietwagen an einem für uns besonderen Abend nicht bewegen mussten. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und alles was wir gebraucht haben war vorhanden. Das Häuschen steht mitten im Grünen. Es stand ein wunderschöner Strauß auf dem Tisch. Die Betten und die Balkonmöbel sind sehr bequem. Zum Meer sind es nur ein paar Schritte und von den Balkonen kann man das Meer wunderbar sehen. Es gibt einen kleinen Gemeinschaftspool, den wir fast immer allein genutzt haben. Sabine hatte uns sogar mit Käse, Brot, Butter und kaltem Wasser im Kühlschrank überrascht. Danke dafür und für das leckere 1.Frühstück. Unweit der Unterkunft gibt es verschiedene Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

What we loved about Palm Cottage, St Lucia 1. Exceptional hosting: Sabine is a truly fabulous host, thoughtful, professional, pleasant, and genuinely caring. She made us feel welcome from the very first moment. 2. Personal touches: Sabine kindly organised a sea cruise for us and regularly brought delicious local fruit grown in the garden, which was a real treat. 3. Direct beach access: Having immediate access to the beach was incredibly convenient, especially with our young son. It made daily outings effortless and stress-free. 4. Peaceful setting: The environment is calm, quiet, and relaxing, perfect for unwinding and enjoying quality family time. 5. Ideal location: Situated in the north of the island, the location is extremely practical. While slightly less tropical than the south, it is very close to Rodney Bay, with easy access to shops and amenities, which was especially convenient with a child

Points to be aware of / suggestions for improvement 1. Access road: The road leading to Palm Cottage is a bit of hard work and not fully tarmacked. This seems to be a common feature across St Lucia rather than something specific to Palm Cottage, but it’s worth being aware of, especially if you’re not used to driving on rough roads. 2. Water and electricity: The water pump occasionally switches off. Again, this did not feel specific to the property itself, but rather linked to local electricity stability. Strengthening or backing up the electrical supply could improve comfort. 3. Laundry facilities: With a young child, having access to a washing machine on site would have been very helpful. We eventually found a laundromat near the marina in Rodney Bay, but an on-site option (or a nearby laundry service) could be a great future improvement for families.

The cottage was spacious, clean and well maintained. The beach down the bottom of the lane was beautiful. Recommend wearing trainers to get down there as the path is very battered. The fruit tree growing in the garden was delicious to have chilling by the pool and for breakfast.

The entrances both bottom and top were not accessible with the luggage, and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. It was a struggle to get the suitcases up and down especially for one of our guests who has mobility issues.
