Närheten till havet och närhet till restauranger. Bra kommunikation med värden också. Väldigt hjälpsam och flexibel. Man kunde lätt hänga ut blöta badkläder på tork och kunde sitta på balkongen. Ac:n fungerade bra.

Vi visste inte att det skulle vara en rooftop bar uppe på taket. Det var också mycket liv på gatan utanför. Fönstren var inte bra ljudisolerade, så om man är ljudkänslig är det ett problem. Det var väldigt svårt att hitta parkering som du inte behöver betala för.

The location trumps it all - 20 meters to the best spot of Himare city beach. All the restaurants next door. Given this, not that noisy beginning August as one would expect (there's a rooftop restaurant in the same building, but still - I could even call the apartment quiet which was a very positive surprise). All communications with the host went smoothly and everything was answered very fast on WhatsApp. I really appreciated an honest video showing the apartment (sent by Giorgos in advance) and detailed video instructions which helped to get there (wasn't difficult - but still very helpful for a tired family). We were in the 1st (2nd) floor, non-sea view - maybe that's why the apartment wasn't hot, and the AC worked well. First I was a bit disappointed that all the sea view apartments were booked but at the end of the day the non-sea we got turned a pleasant one - especially considering that in the sea-view ones the sun seems to come into the windows for the most part of the day. Decent wi-fi in the room. Rather comfy beds. The shower without any curtain was surprising but actually worked well - if you can handle the mop :). Good water pressure in the shower (not always the case in Mediterranean countries).

Well, I should have checked, so actually, my bad. But one generally expects to be able to prepare some food in an apartment – in my view, that’s the main reason people go for apartments in the first place. Here - no plates, no glasses, let alone luxury items like spoons and forks, just empty cupboards. Ok, I understand the "no-cooking" policy - but having a salad and a glas of wine on the balcony is one of the basics. Some bedside lamps would be great. We were 3 people in the apartment, so when someone wanted to go to bed earlier, they had to put up with the rather harsh light coming from the ceiling (we ended up keeping the bathroom light on - as a sort of improvised night light). It would also be good to have some kind of dividers in the the large balcony area shared by 3 apartments, to give each apartment a bit more privacy.
