We had a truly wonderful stay at Borgo Petraio in Montieri. The house itself is absolutely lovely—full of historic charm and character, with breathtaking views of the mountains and a peaceful garden that made mornings and evenings feel magical. Its central location made it easy for us to explore Tuscany, yet it felt like a quiet retreat tucked away from the crowds.
Our host was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful, offering thoughtful recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. It’s rare to find such a special place that feels both unique and comfortable.
We loved staying here and will absolutely return the next time we’re in Tuscany. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect! The location was an oasis of peace, the accommodation was timeless Tuscan, which paid sympathetic homage to the character, age and traditional features of the building.
It was perfectly clean, fully equipped and comfortable - a home away from home.
Out host was kind and professional and let us in a few hours earlier than check-in, leaving us to our devices and the delicious complimentary bottle of chianti, which we enjoyed with the bbq we made in the garden.
Will definitely be back.
