If you’re looking for the perfect bushveld escape, Kareekloof Game Farm just outside Rustenburg is truly something special. Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Magaliesberg and surrounded by untouched bushveld, this hidden gem offers the kind of peace and quiet that’s hard to find these days. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — a special thank you to Elize, who went above and beyond, from the warm welcome to checking in on us throughout our stay. That personal touch made all the difference. The venue itself is immaculate, with so many little hidden gems waiting to be discovered as you explore. One of the standout features for me was the entertainment area — especially the outdoor seating space. It created such a magical atmosphere in the evenings, perfect for unwinding, reconnecting, and soaking in the calm of nature. Our room was fully equipped, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a self-catering stay. With daily cleaning services, it always felt fresh and inviting to return to after a day of exploring. What I appreciated most, though, was the limited signal. In a world where we’re constantly connected, this was a rare opportunity to truly switch off, slow down, and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life — exactly what I needed. Kareekloof offers everything from peaceful surroundings and wildlife to comfortable accommodation and genuine hospitality, making it an ideal getaway for couples, families, or anyone needing a reset. Peace and quiet. Away from the hustle and bustle, a real digital vacation. Facilities are good and well maintained.

The quietness

It is not a kids friendly place with no play area for kids. If you do not bring enough to keep them busy they will be bored for the entire stay. Maybe some swings and jungle gym play things would be nice considering that you can not keep kids busy with no internet and the tv being in a shared area.
