La Digue Ylang Ylang

We enjoyed our stay very much! The staff were very kind, the cabin was well equipped and clean, and the grounds were lovely. They had bikes on site that we could rent. Staff came and cleaned the cabin daily, which was nice. My favorite part was the little cat that was nearby to our cabin- I wish I could’ve taken her home with us!!!

First night was awful, after that we spoke with the owner and gave us the biggest house and was more beautiful!

Working AC, daily cleaning service except Sundays. Towels are changed every two days. Location is otherwise quiet and manageble to see the whole island (bike is highly reccomended and can be rented directly from Stefy). Stefy kindly helped with any questions we had and payment was smooth. We could have a late check out and she also helped with arranging our transfer at Mahe jetty to airport.

We got the smallest of the bungalows, so there was little space in it, especially with two bigger suitcases. No closet to unpack your things. The kitchen could use an upgrade in terms of newer pots and there was no dining table in the inside of the bungalow (only on the terrace). In the evening lots of mosquitos outside (you need to wear lots of repellent). Bad water pressure and old water heater in the bathroom. We rented bycicles with Stefy and they would definitely need some maintainance, but I guess this is a general observation for all the bikes at La Digue. Oh, location on Google is not correct, or better, there are two Ylang Ylang accomodations seen in the map, however the EAST one is the correct one. It would save us some time upon arrival trying to find it.
