I had such a warm and welcoming experience.

Edy showed me his garden with coffee, cloves, vanilla, and more (which you can buy if you're interested), as well as the nearby rice plantations. The room was more than perfect, with such a beautiful view. The owners are so kind and helpful. They can drive you anywhere you want to go for sightseeing or transfer you to your next destination. I had an amazing stay, I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Edy Homestay is amazing <3

Iluh and Edy were amazing hosts, they were very helpful with a map and complimentary drink on arrival, happy to chat with us about their family and tell us about the area! Our room had a beautiful view and was perfectly clean and comfortable considering the cost. Iluh made an Indonesian breakfast for us each day, and we had free tea in the evenings. They sorted transport onwards for us on our last day and provided recommendations for tourism stops along the route. My favourite place I have stayed so far!

The bed we stayed in only had a blanket without a sheet so we were a bit warm at night, but the bed did have a mosquito net so we just slept on top of the blanket.

A super insider tip!!!

The view was amazing! The owners told us about the area, gave us maps and ideas of what we could do - we didn’t even have to ask. The breakfast was amazing - very well cooked. (If you are not local and like spicy food, tell them! Her spice is amazing.) Parking was okay, our driver had no problem. The bed was beautiful and the mosquito net a very practical addition. Would love to comeback here!

Great and friendly stay

The location is perfectly located for trekking and rice field walks, easy to access coming down from Pucuk or Lesong. Great views over the 4 peaks!! Away from the main road. Edy and his wife were extremely helpful and kind. I had breakfast made and ready to go at 6am to take on my hike. Edy took me down to Lovina and gave me context on the development of the region

Munduk has limited transport services, hard to bargain prices. No Grab in the region.

Loveliest hosts, beautiful view.

The staff are lovely. They provide a map of the area and sit down and show you the best places to visit when you get there, make you a welcome drink, and are just overall super nice and sweet. There’s free tea and coffee in the restaurant area all day, the breakfast we had included was delicious. Banana pancake, toast and jam or eggs, or Indonesian breakfast. The view from our balcony in our room (the superior version) was great. The view from the restaurant even better. There are many restaurants along this road, and a convenience store. Definitely recommend your own bike or it might be a little difficult.

Might just be temporary for when we stayed but there’s a neighbour who sings karaoke on his porch aaaallllll day. There are open windows in the bedroom (there is a mosquito net) that make it impossible to escape the noise during the day, and the cicadas, dogs and chickens in the night. All rectified with earplugs.

Great staff, facilities could use a refresh.

Upon arrival the host gave me a photocopied map of the area that she had drawn with good things to do. I loved that. I had a bit of gastro and she also gave me excellent advice on medication, which I took.

Having a fever in the night it would have been good to have a sheet, not just a doona. A fan would have helped too. The lamp next to my bed didn't work very well, there was also a bit of mould in the bathroom.

Beautiful stay and awesome hosts

The owners are really friendly and helpful. They even drove us to the hospital and helped translating when one of us had been sick. They have many recommendations for things to do in the area.

Be aware that the animals can get quite loud at night. Breakfast could be a little bigger.

Wonderful stay

The owner were fantastic. The lady was really carefull on satisfy our cooking request. The view was fantastic and you can smeel vanilla and cloves from There. She was helpul on adress us to lovey walks nearby, renting a scooter and she booked the driver when we left.

Great Homestay

It’s a great accommodation in Munduk, close to restaurants and hiking trails. Our room was spacious and clean. We had a small terrace in front our door. Free drinking water is provided as well which is nice to save plastic. The breakfast in the morning was nice and we could choose from different things. The WiFi worked good, it was sometimes a little slow but overall good. The owner is very friendly and helpful. When we arrived, she served us papaya juice and she also explained to us the possible hikes and gave us a map. She organised our transport too and scooter rental is available. We felt very welcome there.

The room was a little damp and so was some of our stuff afterwards, but that’s not the fault of the owner.

We've stayed here twice (2019 & 2023) and loved it, good location in Munduk and many great places to trek & motorbike close by. Breakfast is simple and delicious, free coffee and water refills is always a winner! Very friendly family.

Great location. Large, quiet room with mountain views. They provide a map with beautiful trekking routes that start directly from the property, no need to use the scooter. Great breakfast and cuisine, the best rice tried during a month vacation in Bali. Very friendly family staff willing to help you with any needs. Free tea and coffee always available. Recommended.

I can't believe I paid 18AUD for this place, spectacular location, quiet and most importantly no traffic or tourists. If you want an authentic experience of the Indonesian culture I highly suggest Munduk and Edy Homestay. I have a feeling this part of Bali won't stay quiet for long, it is best to get in before mass scale tourism destroys the vibe and landscape

clean, great location, good food, happy host

The view is top tier, breakfast is really good and a proper good portion with fruit, free water refill and tea and coffee all day. There is motorbike rental/car hire. The staff are really friendly and the keener gave us a map when we arrived of places to go and nice walk through the rice fields. The room was clean, mosquito nets provided and there was hot water from time to time which is always a bonus !

Beautiful

Munduk is such a beautiful place and Edy Homestay is the perfect stay to see everything. The views from the dining area are incredible and the staff go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Will definitely be returning when we next come to Bali!

The bathroom sink looked like it had not been cleaned after the last guest left. Their are very few options for food at the attached warung and the few options their are are made with instant ramen noodles. The rice was dry and the chicken had no seasoning on it.

Peaceful stay in the center of Munduk

Really comfortable room with a wonderful view from the balcony. The terrasse of the warung is incredible and the food really good. Free water, tea and coffee is available! The host was really nice and gave us a lot of tips to enjoy the region! Thank you

dirty and a construction site do not recommend

clean sheets also woman behind the desk was nice and was trying to be helpful nice view from restaurant close to nice warung called heaven. they arranged us a taxi free water

i don’t like to do negative reviews however, although I was expecting basic this was beyond basic it was dirty and practically a construction site. the first room was at the bottom of the property, where there is a communal court yard with workers, numerous cockerels and dogs it was sooo loud I asked to move which they kindly did. we was moved to a different room which had a nice balcony however. there was a termites nest in the bathroom the shower had hot water for 1 second the room had dirty marks and holes all in the walls therefore we was eaten alive by mozzies. the room was dirty and still extremely loud at night it’s next to a road where dirt bikes go past all day and night, then barking dogs and cockerels all day and night. it was that bad we left a day early as we didn’t sleep for two nights and was disturbed after seeing the termites nest. also the whole place looks like a construction site. we wished we would of left straight away to be honest, the lady did try as she upgraded us. although cheap we have stayed in much nicer places for the same price. breakfast wasn’t very nice either. they need to do a deep clean and renovate the whole place I would not recommend anyone to stay.

Good guesthouse with great view in Munduk

The view was amazing. Great location to start from for some hiking. Best to get dropped of at the waterfall parking and then walk back to the guesthouse, able to visit 4 or 3 waterfalls along the way. Good hospitality. Food basic but nice.

No warm water when I wanted to go for a shower. The blanket of the bed was not so nice, would have been nice to have an extra bed sheet. When some extra money available, then the walls in the bathroom could use some restoration.

Great stay!

The view from the room is stunning! Mountains and greenery everywhere. Edy and her family are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. She gave us some great tips to spend our days in Munduk. Water, coffee and tea is always free, breakfast was good. The room is very basic, but that's to be expected with this price. We enjoyed our time here.

Hot water most times not working, the roosters and dogs are very loud in the night.
