Ferienwohnung in Mayen

The accommodation stayed impressively cool, even during a period with temperatures above 30 °C. The separate bedroom was a real bonus and added extra comfort. The sofa and chair were very comfortable. The apartment was fully equipped and had everything we needed. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The apartment is located on a busy road, but this was expected and not an issue for us. I was initially surprised that there was no coffee machine inside the apartment, but that was no issue for me; when I mentioned this the host told me there were several available in a coffee corner in the hallway. I had simply missed that information during the quick tour — my German is decent, but apparently not perfect! There was only one handle for the windows. I wasn't sure if it could be removed to use for the other window. I probably also missed this information due to my German. A quick demonstration during the short tour would have made this clearer. The owner mainly speaks German and not much English, which might be a challenge for some guests.

Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, ein grosses, helles Zimmer, ausreichend für ein bis zwei Personen. Auch für längere Aufenthalte. Man wird persönlich begrüßt und das ein und auschecken funktioniert reibungslos. Gut fanden wir die spätere Auscheck Zeit. Statt 10 Uhr bis 12Uhr. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht und mehr. Kaffee und Tee gibt's umsonst. Die Betten sind bequem, es gibt wirklich kaum etwas zu beanstanden. Eine der besten Ferienwohnungen die wir gebucht haben und wir werden wieder kommen wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind.

Die Parkplätze in der Nähe der Wohnung sind alle kostenpflichtig mit Parkticket, das kann teuer werden. Die Wohnung war sehr sehr kalt , da es August ist geht die Heizung auch nicht. Vielleicht sind die ZWÖLF Lüftungsschächte an der Decke ja klimatisierung ?? und es hat unangenehm stark nach nassem Hund gerochen.

Wir waren für ein Event auf der Nordschleife in dem Apartment. Das Apartment ist nett, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Betten waren komfortabel, und die Lage war sehr gut. Kneipen, Restaurants und Innenstadt in Fußnähe. Gastgeber war auch sehr nett.

Eine Lade im Badezimmer war leider defekt. Bei warmen Nächten wird es schnell warm im Apartment, aber nicht unaushaltbar. Fenster auf wegen Straße und fehlendem Fliegengitter eher nicht möglich.
