Cooled by trade winds, this beautifully upgraded 900 sq.ft. one-bedroom suite in the oceanfront Colony Surf on the quiet end of Waikiki, has beautiful ocean and Diamond Head views and a spacious living/dining area for entertaining. This condo overlooks the volleyball court area of the Outrigger Canoe Club next door.

The Colony Surf offers beachside living at its finest and is also home to world famous Michel's Restaurant. On one side of Colony Surf you'll enjoy playing tennis or walking in Kapiolani Park; on the other side, enjoy swimming and sunning on the sandy beach, or surfing the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean (NO POOL onsite). You'll be away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, yet a close enough walk to shopping, casual and fine dining, night life and the many attractions and activities that Waikiki has to offer.

Since another guest may check out the same day you arrive, to guarantee an early Check-In, reserve the condo for the night prior to arrival. For same-day reservations, Check-In Time is guaranteed for 5PM.

No Pets, No Parties, No Smoking/Vaping (including in the condo, on the balcony/lanai, or in any of the building's public spaces). Violations are subject to a $500 fine, plus actual costs for odor removal or if anything needs replacement due to tar, ashes, or burns.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying in #407 at the Colony Surf. Our only concern is the condition of the bathroom.we had the plumber in while we were there as the toilet wasn't working properly.Also the drains in the sink and shower didn't drain well.

Everyone in the office is professional, friendly and they do go the extra mike to make guests happy.The property Manager, Byron, is professional and knowledgable and answers queries promptly. Rentals Manager Lauri is top notch. The unit is exactly as advertised. We love this unit and Captain Cook Rentals.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was perfect for my stay! Clearly the owner has a heart for Hawaii and its people. I came not as a tourist but to visit family and dig deeper into the culture. #407 had a wealth of books on Hawaii and it was tempting to stay in and read them. But the neighborhood is perfect for walks up Diamond Head Road, exploration of historic houses and architecture and just for being in the moment to view Diamond Head and ocean activity from the unit. Everything was spotless and so well equipped. The layout was perfect for having guests in for dinner. The noise from the volleyball court was not an issue, but the HVAC equipment on the roof of the OCC was loud. Fortunately it was only on from about 7AM to 8PM. Do not miss watching the moon rise overhead and view it shining on the ocean in the morning. Back home, I miss the sound of the birds and the swaying palms. Thank you to the owner for allowing me to share in your beautiful home!
I have a suggestion for Capt. Cook. A personal check in would have helped understand the layout and functions of the unit. Also, a call the day before checkout would have made it less confusing about was required. However, when something needed attention during the stay, Byron followed up.
