Beautiful property in a mesmerising location. The property was full of old Tuscan charm. As others have mentioned very steep hill driving up to the village, at times narrow sharp turns but when you’re there the views and charm will capture your heart.

Marvelous countryside apartment in Tuscany, close to Florence

This apartment is a gem. We are returning guests as we were here two years ago as well and it is just as magnificent as we remembered. A cosy and well equipped apartment in the middle of a small medieval town in Tuscany. The hosts are really-really nice, they stayed up for us even though we arrived really late (~23:30). What more can anyone want?! :)

Amazing!

Beautiful location, serene and breathtaking. Such a historic and unique place! Franchesca (our host) was outstanding. She went out of her way on a couple different occasions for our family. 5 stars all the way and I would give her more if I could! Overall an excellent experience for anyone traveling to the Tuscan countryside.

A great respite in a tiny village on a Tuscan hill

The appartment is in a lovely small village. Perfect for discovering the region and Tuscany. The kitchen is functional, Francesca the host is really nice, and helpful. I would very much recommend this lodging to anyone! :)

Dreamy Tuscany

There's very little I didn't like, the place was so divine that it greatly overshadowed the little things I didn't like. The location makes this place, tucked between a church and an old nunnery, nestled on a hilltop with spectacular views. It's exactly what you imagine for a picture postcard Tuscan stay. We had a gorgeous terrace full of plants to enjoy the evenings and our meals, bring mosquito spray they are very aggressive. Very very cozy lodgings, and very quiet. A nice area to walk around as well. See the church next door if you get a chance. The kitchen was well equipped. I highly recommend this place. Also a great location to explore the nearby towns, montecatini Terme, Vinci and Pistoia, Florence and other cities can be reached by train from Montecatini. An amazing deal for what we paid.

Minor details really. The place was incredible. The bathroom shower tiles need scrubbing they look moldy, and the outer edges of shower leaked, so those were especially moldy. We did fine with the number of towels available, but more would have been nice. The bed's coverlet had a stain. The bedroom could use a dark curtain, the bed faces east so the sunrise faces the bed. I was under the impression that the whole place was air conditioned, but only the bedroom is.

Exceptional

Quiet and secluded location, yet close enough to all attractions we wanted to visit - this accommodation was exactly what we needed. Friendly host, accommodation was very lovely and authentic, views from the windows awesome. Rooms were spacious and clean, parking space available just outside the property. Outdoor terrace we used a lot, with nice medieval atmosphere all around us as church and tower are nearby. Both we and the kids enjoyed our stay here and would gladly stay here again.

We were terrified first time driving to the top of the hill with the car, as GPS used some weird option that looked so narrow. But, once used with the area and the roads, it's obvious that there are several options to reach Borgo a Buggiano,and it really is not that bad as it seemed for the first ride 😊 By the end of the trip, we were pros!

Beautiful, gorgeous terrace and property

A beautiful, quaint cottage feel with gorgeous, lush terrace filled with herbs and plants. It was so peaceful and in the most amazing, ancient Tuscan village, we felt we had the true Tuscan experience. Francesca was extremely helpful and friendly.

Exceptional

Beautifully kept place on the square of an enchanting historical hamlet. The owner has ensured that this feels homely and comfortable. The weather was chilly for a couple of nights, but we could light a fire so no problem. The town of Buggiano is about a 20 minute walk, with cafés, restaurants and bars, and a train station with regular trains to Lucca, Pisa, and Florence. The walk back is a bit steep, but the views are beautiful. The owner was very helpful and made sure our stay was perfect. Supermarkets are close by, and the kitchen has everything needed to cook at home too. Highly recommended

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location

Beautiful location in a small village in the hills. Nice walking/hiking trails closeby. Communication and checking in was easy, checking out even easier: we just left the keys in the door. Kitchen seemed equipped, though we didn't use it to cook. For some more options in eating out, it is possible to walk to Borgo a Buggiano.

Awesome stay

This super great accomodation is simply beautiful. The vintage furniture and classy interior decoration is so very stylish and welcoming. It was cool inside even on the hottest summer days because of the thick castle walls. You'll have a great view from the bedroom and a terrace to drink your morning coffee on. I just loved it. Will definitely come back.

Tolle Lage, sehr ruhiger malerischer Ort mit herrlichem Ausblick!

Nachdem es vor Ort möglich war, die Unterkunft zu tauschen, waren wir sehr zufrieden. Das Appartement hatte eine sonnige Terrasse und einen sehr schönen 3-etagigen Garten. Das Haus selbst war stilvoll „antik“ eingerichtet und sauber und gepflegt. Allerdings ist es wichtig, sich die Fotos der gebuchten Unterkunft genau anzusehen, da die zahlreichen Fotos der Anlage zwar sehr schön sind, aber auch zu Irritationen führen, welche Ausstattung man bekommt (wir haben uns zunächst von den zahlreichen Fotos der (Garten)Terrassen täuschen lassen, und mussten vor Ort feststellen, dass fast alle Räume des ursprünglich gebuchten Hauses sehr dunkel waren und der Aufenthalt im Freihen nur auf einem winzigen Dachbalkon im 3. Stock möglich war (mit gebuchtem Hund ein Unding) Dank des Tauschangebotes waren wir aber letztlich sehr zufrieden mit der 2. Unterkunft.

Die Schränke waren teils ein bisschen muffig, sonst aber alles schön und authentisch.
