The location is unbeatable! We loved the traditional feel and the garden outside the window. We went as a family so we had a private room with a private bathroom. The facility is so clean. It has an area to eat. The staff were very nice and helpful. Just note if you arrive earlier than 3 there will be no one to help you. We arrived like 40 minutes early so we did not mind waiting and taking a break from walking. We took a taxi first day but there is a nearby bus stop that we used many times after. There is plenty to do in the area and all the major Gion shrines are nearby. They have a washer and dryer and their dryer was the best out of 3 that we used for our stay. I would highly recommend this place!

The futon and pillows were uncomfortable for sleeping.
