"We walked most places and it was close to town. There is a hill so you have to be willing to walk that! Staff was very friendly and accommodating when we added someone last minute."

Relaxing jungle stay at an affordable price.
Beautiful, expertly maintained grounds, educational birding and medicinal plant walks, trails through jungle and to the river, friendly and helpful staff and a great restaurant.
No alcohol available on site, but we could bring our own in.

Great place, if you’re not looking for luxury and want to enjoy nature
It was a great location, not too far out of town, but had a remote feel. And had activities on the property.

    Great Stay In Jungle Lodge
Very helpful staff and beautiful grounds. The food in the restaurant was excellent, especially the Queen Jack breakfast and the lamb chop dinner, although they request that you reserve a table and pre-order. Two bedroom apartment was extremely spacious.
The construction is fairly rustic and there are lots of jungle noises at night. Sleeping was more pleasant with the fan noise from the air conditioner running.

Expensive restaurant, beautiful escape in nature
Maya Mountain Lodge was beautiful, and we wish we spent more time here. We stayed 2 nights. We didn't really use the kitchen. We spent basically the whole day out doing cave tours, so we didn't get to use the property as much, but having a hut to yourself in nature was amazing. The bathroom was clean and the hammock was a nice touch.
We stayed in Trogon, and it was a little noisy at times when cars drove by. The other huts that are more in the property don't get as much noise from the main road, compared to our room. Fiona's cafe was expensive >> all prices in USD. Was much cheaper to eat in San Ignacio town. The walk to town is doable because it's downhill (about 20-25 min walk). Taxi to town costs about $7 USD one-way.

    Relaxing in the jungle.
Very relaxing. Great staff and they could order tours to pick you up there. Old but charming. Restaurant was reasonably priced and had a variety of food.

The grounds are spectacular and the arrangement with tour companies absolutely great.
The breakfast was late on one day. And the 2nd day the eggs were not over easy and the tea water like warm. But the food was good and. Priced similarly to other hotels in the area.
