We received a very warm welcome from Mohammed. Our room was exactly as described in the photo. We had a little private terrace which was lovely. The Riad is just off the main thoroughfare in the old medina, so it is a perfect location within the medina walls to browse the stalls and sample some lovely food and desserts. The breakfast was delicious with a boiled egg, home made pancake and messemen, fresh fruit, orange juice, mint tea, and cheese triangles. There was honey, jam, and marmalade to spread onto the bread. We only were able to stay in Rabat for one night, but enjoyed the genuine hospitality in Riad El Bir.
Overall everything was excellent, but if I had to find a small thing, the toilet rocked a little bit and could be made more stable, and as typical in Morocco there was very weak water pressure from the shower, but it is definitely usable.

Loved the friendly host, he was very helpful and good suggestions for dinners recommendations and sights to see. Also liked the location.
Noisy from the outside laneway and the plumbing was a bit smelly. Could have used some incense in the room.
