Amigo Hotel On The Beach - With Shelter

Great location - near the sea and the city center. Great value for money. Comfortable bed.

The walls are pretty thin, and sometimes other rooms or people outside can be heard. Also, around 8-9 am in one of the mornings we were awakened by drilling being done in the property, which definitely should have been done later in the day. The shower is smal and has no real separation from the rest of the bathroom except a curtain - so showering floods the room.

Location location location. 5 minute walk to a blue flag beach and another 10 minutes to the next blue flag beach. Food establishments all over but the hotel has a lovely kitchenette and dining room where you can make your own food. The owners , Eli and Valentina and staff are brilliant. Welcoming helpful and responsive. This is our second stay and 2027 will be it next. The train station is a walk away and you can go direct to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem from there. So many national parks and sites with in driving distance. Honestly couldn’t ask for more.

The owners are amazing and friendly, greeting us when we arrived with such a smile that we felt like we knew them already! The beds were extremely comfortable and they offered a constant towel stock up and a cleaning which we didn't take up. The air con really worked well making our room freezing cold at one point by mistake:) The best part was when we arrived absolutely boiling hot and sweaty and the room was already cool because the air con was already on! The owners answered all our annoying questions beforehand really well and promptly! The beach is literally just 3 houses down, empty most of the day, we felt like it was our private beach! Bus stop is not super close which adds to the quiet and peacefulness I guess although it was a little annoying to have to drag our suitcases up the road in that boiling 34 degrees.

We weren't given any instructions as to where to get new things from, it was just on the side. Same for directions to the public spaces, we still aren't sure if the garden was for us to enjoy or was the neighbours private space. It would have been nice to get some sort of greeting paper explaining all these when we arrives in our room. Same for where to leave the key. We definitely could have asked the owner who would have ben very happy to help us but it didn't happen. We also weren't told explicitly that we needed our passport which we had left behind by our hosts which created some confusion but it was all sorted out quickly and with a smile.

You have to walk 1 km to nearest restaurant, 2 km to nearest supermarket. Its a little off. Did not smell to well from kitchen
