The Kyaka Hotel

The property was well located, clean and the food was lovely.

There was a lot of noise pollution within the premises, particularly on Sunday (seem to be a church service); it impeded good rest.

First time at Kyaka Hotel. Stayed for nine nights in a Standard room. Very impressed with the staff - very professional, friendly and always ready to assist. They felt like family when I left. The facilities, pool and garden were spotless and meticulous. Overall a wonderful experience. While my room had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable, the room was also facing a court yard and were next to the kitchen, though four floors up. Therefore it was not the most quiet environment and when I opened the window (I prefer fresh air and it was quite hot during the day), you had the noise of operations and the constant smell of whatever was on the menu :-) No fans or an AC were available so I had to make a choice between fresh air and staying awake or feeling the heat and trying to sleep. Alas.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und sehr umfangreich. Der Service hervorragend. Ständig war man bemüht im positiven Sinn. Wifi war sehr gut und schnell. Man fühlte sich in dem Hotel wohl und sicher. Es war alles sauber und der Zimmerservice hat jeden Tag alles gut gemacht. Die Einrichtung sah sehr neu und nett aus. Die Matratze war angenehm hart.

Das Hotel ist über mehrere Gebäude verteilt. Ich hatte Zimmer 6009 im 6. Stock. Dort war es leider oft sehr laut. Z. B. in der Nacht von Samstag auf Sonntag war sehr laute Musik bis 5 Uhr morgens. Tagsüber war die Musik vom Swimmingpool zu hören. Wenn in einem weiter entfernten Zimmer ein Stuhl gerückt wurde hörte man es. Insgesamt war das Hotel sehr hellhörig. Es gab keinen Fön im Zimmer. Die Dusche hatte nur einen Duschkopf in ca. 2 Meter Höhe und keine Kabine oder Vorhang. Nach dem Duschen war das ganze Badezimmer nass. Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern wären gut und auch ein Moskitonetz um das Bett fehlte.

Whilst there was variety in the buffet, most of the food was cold. I twice did not get my eggs order right. Whilst they provide instant coffee the cups were tiny and I had to ask for teaspoons. Service was pretty slow both at dinner and breakfast.

Dinner option was bad. They had an ala carte menu, but they wanted you to pick the menu items from the buffet and they did not have anything else apart from what was in the menu.
