Very nice hotel in a good location in a lovely town.

Property is very clean and comfortable. It is in a good location with a nice walk to the main area for shops, cafes and the beach. Breakfast is the standard fare, but very nice all the same.

Staff seemed a little uninterested, they only seemed to spend time chatting and laughing in their office and lacked any real interest in what they were doing. I would add that there was one female member of staff that was really friendly and helpful, the rest less so.

A nightmare.

Nothing.

I have stayed at Ibis hotels in several countries, but my experience at the Ibis in De Panne was by far the worst. I booked a double room at almost twice the usual rate (yes, their “flexible” pricing policy is quite something), planning to take my little one to Plopsaland nearby. According to our schedule, we arrived about 20–30 minutes before the official 2:00 pm check-in time. I politely asked if we could check in a bit earlier, only to be told it would cost an extra €20! In the end, even at 2:00 pm our room still wasn’t ready. The front desk explained it hadn’t been cleaned yet, so we ended up waiting another half an hour in the lobby with a child. Not a great start. When we finally checked in, we didn’t inspect the room right away since we rushed off to the theme park. Only in the evening, after returning exhausted, did the real nightmare begin: at 10 pm the water pressure was so weak it was nearly impossible to shower. The shower gel and shampoo dispensers? One completely empty, the other barely had a drop left. On top of that, the towels provided were stained and had suspicious hairs stuck to them—utterly disgusting. Honestly, this stay felt like a disaster from start to finish.

Great location and comfortable

Clean, comfortable room with en-suite and air-conditioning. Toiletries supplied Breakfast good with plenty of choices. Great location, Market place a 5 minute walk, the beach 10 minutes or so away, and plenty of bars and restaurants along the way. Overall good,

No refreshments provided or a fridge. Quite expensive for budget hotel. Breakfast not included in price of room and parking available at 20 euros a night.

Quiet stay in a nice town

The hotel was suitably located for my trip and was quiet, with friendly staff.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable but it wasn't terrible, just could have been better. Shame about the parking fees but this seems to be the case everywhere.

Good hotel, but a bit expensive for what it offers.

The fact that for a hotel of this budget, there was not a refrigerator or a mini bar in the room, not even a bottle of water...There were also no one-use slippers and one-use hygiene pack. I did not like also the charge of 20 euros per day for parking in an area where one day parking costs 5 euro.

The location was very good. Easy to find and convenient for the town. Only a moderate walk from the beach too which was unexpected. Very helpful staff, perfectly clean and a really good breakfast.

It would be good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Great place to stop over before a big cycle.

We cycled and confirmed beforehand there would secure parking for the bikes. Staff responded and reassured us. Staff were all very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and other in the group were very impressed.

Basic hotel in De Panne

Room is very simple, but efficient. Bicycles can be parked in the underground parking garage. Breakfast is good, but nothing special.

We paid 21 euro for one breakfast, although everywhere in the hotel (entrance door at the reception, food menus) the price is listed as 18 euro. The hotel reception staff said we should complain to the manager, who wasn't around of course. Not sure if it is illegal to charge more than advertised in Belgium (probably it is not allowed), but it any case it creates a very bad impression to the customer. They charged us 4 euro per bicycle. Never seen this in a hotel before, bicycle parkings are always free of charge. Despite paying 4 euro per bike, the hotel staff can't tell if there is an electrical wall outlet. We found one in a (dark) corner of the garage and managed to charge the bikes.

- General cleanness, especially the bath and toilet - Comfortable bed (except for duvet provided) and furnituring suitable for long or short stay - Honestly, good location, easy to travel by tram and not far away from the center - Extremely fast WIFI

- Breakfast was not worth the price with little variety - I would expect around 150€ instead of 189€ (one night, double bed for two people) - The duvet was uncomfortable

Wonderful relaxing stay in a lovely town, with good bars and restaurants, and close to the beach.

Breakfast was great, especially the DIY waffle maker. Pillows are amazing, the best ever, had the best nights sleep in my life. Location is amazing, only a short walk to the beach.
