The cottage itself was amazing, it had a really cosy feeling to it. I travelled with my partner and 3 month old son and it was just the break we needed. We loved every bit of our little break away from home.
Nothing that we found. Faultless in our eyes.

We loved how cosy and comfortable the whole stay was.
Blinds or frosted windows in the bathroom. Due to the age of the cottage, some of the floorboards upstairs were uneven.

It was modern and clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for the stay and we felt happy there.

The location is excellent if doing the Four Waterfalls trek (which we did), and for nearby walks and pubs. The farm was so quiet with a beautiful babbling brook at the back of the cottage, that was incredibly relaxing. There is a small grassed area across the courtyard at the front of the cottage that overlooks the fields and enjoys sun all day. We spent both evenings sitting on the picnic benches enjoying the sun go down. The cottage itself was a good size, clean, comfy beds and hot showers. They provided a lot of useful local information in the welcome book. Would definitely return
Only small issue was they advertised providing BBQ facilities to all cottages, but there wasn't any available with our cottage. Not a biggy but worth checking if you stay here and want to BBQ one evening.

Beautiful little cottage, everything you may need no matter how short or long you are staying. Set in an idylic and quiet spot. With lovely walks around the farmlands. If only the weather had been better. I imagine in the summer its the most beautiful place, especially when you can sit outside and enjoy freshair and sunshine.
When we stayed the weather wasn't its best. The cottage has small windows and so inside was quite dark. The cottage I would say needs a little TLC and defo needs decobwebbing.

Lovely location, with the sounds of the waterfall. It has a stunning patio area on the river which will be lovely on a sunny day!
It was a stunning stay and no complaints. If anything, there could be more kitchen pots, but it's not a complaint at all.

Lovely property. Good location.
Property itself was great.
Could do with a few extra mugs and maybe some wine glasses.

Lovely little garden and courtyard by the stream. Perfect small cottage for a couple. Lovely circular off lead walk on site for the dogs before we headed out for our hikes. Nicely decorated.
The kitchen had plenty of empty cupboard space so some wine glasses would be a good addition. The toilet wasn’t cleaned throughly when we arrived.

Our cottage was on a beautiful farm, far from busy streets. It was a sweet little home equipped with all one needs. There was even a lovely fireplace in the living room.
The distance to tourist attractions is quite long, but this is nothing the owners can do about :)

location and layout
looking a little tired and the hot water shower turned to a dribble at times. Also the wood burning stove chimney was partially blocked.

Rachel is a superhost. She makes sure everything is alright at the cottage before we checked in and during our stay. The cottage is extremely well managed, with attention to details, spacious with a terrace, the bed is comfortable and we did have good sleep after long hours drive. The kitchen is fully equipped and clean. The location is ideal for us for trips both to Brecons Beacon and Tenby. I highly recommended the Swansea Valley Holiday Cottages.

Liked that the cottage was in it's own grounds with 120 acres to wander through with dog. Liked the stylish decor and level of comfort. I found the bed very comfortable and slept well.
The only disappointment was there wasn't a bath which Booking.com listing included

Super clean facility including the bathroom and toilet, best judges are always my 17 and 12 year old who are extremely picky about where they stay. Easy to find, convenient to park and property was warm and toasty when we arrived ready for us. The babbling brook nearby welcomed us first, the weather was rainy but balmy so we were able to explore the various nooks and crannies around the property as well. The information manual was meticulous, much appreciated! Overall excellent stay! Thank you!
Would have liked a selection of board games and puzzles etc to keep teenagers and adults busy. Although there were some for toddlers.

Everything. Yr Hen ysgol is an absolutely beautiful house, that had everything we needed for a family holiday.
The ability to light a fire in the evening in the living room was lovely.
We loved the stunning gardens and surrounding countryside.
Honestly, nothing.

This cottage is beautiful, we loved the setting and the feel of the place.
Comfortable beds and lovely bedding.
The cleaning lady we spoke to was lovely.
The main bathroom was disappointing, filling the bath even to half way took ages, and the shower was very temperamental.

The cottage has been been beautifully refitted in a modern style with enough original features to maintain a rustic country feel. Very comfortable all around. We were met on arrival by the owner who was very welcoming and explained everything well. The view at the top of the farm trail was amazing.
Unfortunately the walking trail around the farm land has not been well kept, and in places the path was clogged with nettles, or went through very muddy ground.
