Marvelous Montreux

This hotel is an excellent place to stay. It is proper old-school hospitality. Tea and coffee making facilities outside the rooms you could get drinks all day and night. Beautiful garden and views where they grow their own produce. Views overlooking the lake. Breathtaking. I was spoilt. I didn't want to leave. Will go back. The hotel is on the quay side and a short walk to the beachfront sunbathing and cafes. They gave me a free travel pass for transport around Montreux for the whole of my stay. Truly spectacular.

The staff could be a little frosty, but they were helpful.

Another glorious holiday at La Tour de Peilz.

The location is excellent. We really enjoyed our afternoon swim in Lac Leman!

Luncheon was a bit lacklustre. And it would be pleasant to be able to order a spritz on the terrace mid-afternoon.

We were not aware the restaurant was closed on Sundays and Mondays. Rooms were a bit dated and lacked power points that would accept a GB power adapter.

The rooms have no charm and would take advantage of a good renovation. The view and the site are 5 stars, the room, if we exclude the view, only 2 stars. Queue at the unique coffee machine at breakfast

Location in the centre of city, easy to find tram way,buses for internal transport. Clean hotel. Male.manager was very helpful, cooperative. Located on front of Lake, so beautiful view from hotel towards lake.They provided fan atleast because of NO A. C. In rooms.

WiFi is not working absolutely, even though they mentioned on website. Absolutely false information about WiFi on hotel website. My family and kids were upset due to no connection with WiFi even after doing many efforts to solve technical issue. Rude answer from female receptionist Polina. No air conditioner in hotel rooms. So not comfortable during summer and winter. Bath rooms are old, need to renovate. Windows are very small. Break fast is poor. No free minibar. Not worth with current price tag. Better options are available with less price. Worst hotel during my 8 days stay in Europe and Switzerland.

the hotel building is beautiful with classic style.You can enjoy stunning scenic view of Geneva lake behind the hotel which can see from hotel restaurant. Reception is very warm welcome, friendly and helpful.a lot of free parking space for who traveling by private car and if you would like to access to Vevey and Montreux, the bus stop just opposite hotel which free travel card for tourist.

Breakfast had not much various of choice and some material were not fresh.

Bit dated but fantastic stay

- Great location, plenty of parking - Room was great, quite big and fantastic view on the lake - Amenities were great too, basic but good breakfast - Staff was super helpful and nice

Good but needs improvement.

Hotel is good situated, walking distance to shops, pharmacies, restaurants and bus stops with good connection to Montreux. Received free tickets for bus rides to Montreux Christmas market. Hotel has in- house restaurant, food was excellent, service as well. Room was clean, carpeted and with high ceilings with all the basic amenities.

Unfortunately, despite given an upgrade room with lake view, room was extremely cold as there was insufficient room heater (only one huge wall radiator for the whole room). Room number 404 was a corner room situated on the same floor of the reception. Heater was also missing in shower room. It's like walking into a fridge each time. Made a remark at the reception regarding cold room and all she could recommend was to put up the temperature to the fullest, not that she can do much. We stayed two nights, due to the room condition, I caught a terrible cold with runny nose, coughing and arrived home with a temperature. Thank God I have another day to recuperate before resuming work tomorrow. Breakfast was ok but can be improved.

This is a traditional hotel with an interesting history. Great location overlooking the lake; a walk to the nearest small town and a short bus ride to Vevey. I have always found the staff to be friendly and very helpful.

Staff so kind & helpful- loved the bus pass!

The smoking on patio was terrible - we opened our beatiful window to an amazing view of lake & moutains & quickly had to close since several people were smoking & the smell & smoke came right into our room!
