Curacao Luxury Holiday Rentals

The place is adorable, the view is spectacular. Large balcony to relax in, large comfortable kitchen, with all the necessities for cooking, and a bonus Nespresso coffee maker with some pods. It has 3 bathrooms. The communication with the host couldn't be better. They respond immediately to messages, Sarah was waiting for us at the property when we arrived. Any problem, they resolve it right away. The private beach there is excellent!, few people, we always had the umbrellas for our family of 6. There are also trees for shade. the snorkeling is fabulous around the break water . Water shoes aren't needed for this beach, no waves, and absolutely pristine. Exactly what I was looking for , for my 85 year old parents that live on Miami Beach, but aren't able to enjoy it anymore. The location is perfect, right next to Mambo Beach, which is also beautiful but with lots of people. You need to pay like $18/person for umbrellas & chairs, but it's worth it. Servers will bring you drinks or food quickly, lots of bars & restaurants on the beach and a fantastic breakwater that keeps all the waves out and provides good snorkeling spots. From there most other beaches and the center of town where the bridge is, are about 30 mins driving distance. From the balcony you can see the dolphins performing in the aquarium across the way. The entire family would wake up with back pain because of the beds, in all 3 bedrooms. The pillows are horrible, like large blocks. The living room is very small , there were six of us and to sit comfortably 3-4 would be on the couch and the rest on the dining room chairs. The wood stairs to the top bedroom with the twin beds is dangerous. It is steep, no threads on the smooth wood, I would go barefoot to not slip.There is also another flight of stairs to get to the front door. The bathroom upstairs did not have a door, not an issue for us, but others may want privacy. The lighting in that bathroom was terribly dim. The rafters come down in a slant to where your head is on the bed, when you are walking about or in the closet it's very easy to bang your head, happened to me everyday. The Master bedroom with the queen bed was roomy and the bathroom large with a washer and dryer. For my parents it was difficult because there is nothing to hold on to in the shower and it's slippery. There is also no place for the soap or shampoo to sit on in the showers, they have to be on the floor.Also the wood lamp on the night table, very ornate but full of dust. The full bed in the other bedroom is not for anyone with claustophobia, it's against the wall, so if 2 are sleeping there, one will have to climb over the other if they need to get up. There is no room around the bed and the bathroom left a lot to be desired, my adult daughters would shower in the master bedroom shower instead of there. The Ice machine is slow in making ice, there are 2 ice trays also, but you may need to buy a bag of ice. There are no toiletries, bring your soaps, shampoos, conditioners, etc. They do provide hand soap, dishwashing soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, some salt and a few other essentials. I kept the grocery paper bags for the additional garbage we had, after the provided bag was used. However, these may not be issues for many.

The location is amazing!! Easy walking distance to Mambo. So convenient. Quiet and quaint when you wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle. A great way to wind down after days in the sun. We could faintly hear the late night music from Mambo but not enough to disrupt sleep. Still close enough to feel close to the action. My teens favorite beach ended up being Mambo so it was a great fit for us! We could do the more rural beaches earlier in the day and easily end at Mambo and get the beach service.

Everything was beautiful!

The apartment was well supplied with everything we needed except a Keurig coffee pot, but there were two or three other options including some coffee pods that fit one of the pots. The unit was recently acquired and there were a few minor problems that when brought to the attention of the team they were quickly taken care of. The location was convenient for taking a bus into town, or for walking to shops and restaurants. We found a favorite just 2 short blocks away. The private beach was an extra nice addition. A multi team WhatsApp was set up so we could easily locate a staff person or ask a question. We are already planning a return!

Small beach. Pool too deep . Have to pay extra for electricity if you go over daily usage. You have to wash your own towels and you need electricity for that. No staff on cite after a certain time. Staff was not all that helpful.
