Takad Dream Rural

Our stay at Takad Dream Rural was nothing like we expected. We made a mistake while booking and ended up here. At first we were a little upset to be staying far from the city center or the Medina. However, this ended up being one of our highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the family greeted us and welcomed us as if we were a part of their family. They were so kind, unbelievably generous, and gave us the most wonderful opportunity to experience day-to-day Moroccan life and culture. They cooked big, family-sized meals and sat around the table talking with us for hours. Since they did not speak much English or Spanish, we relied on google translate for much of our conversations and taught each other a little bit of each of our languages. They gave us bicycles to ride down to the nearest beach, to see more of their town, and to find some yummy food. They even taught me how to make tajine and cous cous! They were attentive to us at all hours of the day, always making sure we felt welcome. We learned so much about Morocco and their warm, welcoming culture while we were here and cannot thank our Takad family enough for giving us that experience. We loved our stay so much here and made some true life-long friends. We will absolutely be back to stay here again!

Truly, nothing that we didn't like about this trip would make us choose any other place. The pros outweigh the cons by far; however, if you are looking to shop the souks, spend time at the beach, or have access to many of the tourist attractions in Agadir, this place is not be in the best location for that. Since my boyfriend and I had already experienced those things in Marrakech and Fez, it did not make much difference to us & we enjoyed the quietness of Takad. We did decide though that the next time we visit Takad, we will make sure to spend a few days closer to the Medina and beach area and a few days with our Takad family. In addition, if you are looking for a higher-end road, I would not suggest this one. Although it was clean, comfortable, and had all that we needed, it was not like the other riads that we stayed in while in Marrakech or Fez. It was more of a private room in their home than a hotel.

Die besten 5 Tage nach 4 Marokko-Reisen! Hafida mit ihren Eltern Hadiya und Said sind perfekte Gastgeber mit Familienanschluß (wenn man möchte und sich wirklich für Land und den Lebensalltag interessiert - viele Gespräche und Familienfotos dazu). Das Essen war gigantisch und wurde liebevoll serviert (Couscous traumhaft). Wir kommen garantiert wieder!

Den nahen Nationalpark kann man sich wirklich sparen (15 Euro für ein paar Strauße, Gnus und Araganbäume). Sehr viele Gewächshäuser in der Gegend (von irgendwo muss ja das Aldi/Lidl-Obst/Gemüse herkommen). Atlantikküste zwar "um die Ecke", aber sehr rauh. Hier merkt man schnell, dass Marokko zu den armen Ländern gehört ... trotzdem sehr viel Herzlichkeit im "normalen" Alltagsleben ...

A unique experience, with very hospitable and helpful hosts. The food was amazing! It’s simply their home, not a typical hotel, which is a big plus as it allows you to better experience the place and the hospitality of the local community. We arrived by car, and parking was no problem. Close to Souss-Massa Park. We only struggled at night with flies, which are quite common in Morocco and tend to buzz around your ear at night, but that’s just how it is everywhere.

We had a lovely 1 night stay in Takad with the family, they were all so so welcoming and friendly. It is simple, rustic, authentic Morocco lifestyle. But great adventure and delicious food. Hopefully we will be back to visit the family one day :)
