Barbara΄s Apartments

Everything was fabulous, the facilities, comfort, the view, the location and the host Barbara.

It could not have been better.

We enjoyed every minute staying in Barbara's Apt. Where do I start. Barbara is an exceptional host with attention to detail that far exceeds expectation. Our stat here from 22nd - 29th June was fantastic! The spectacular views from both the breakfast balcony off the bedroom and main veranda off the lounge area are to die for. We will definitely return here as can see us coming back here year on year. Its a fantastic base to explore the island from if you dont have a car as its a short walk to the centre of town and harbour where you will find all the restaurants, bars, and excursions to book. I'd also recommend using the Get Your Guide app to book excursions and boat trips. Every excursion we booked was fantastic. The all day Dreamy boat cruise from the harbour, including lunch and wine on the boat included in the price and 3 swim stops. The all day coach excursion to Melissani lake cave, Asos and Fiskardo, and dont miss the Roman cemetary at Fiskardo and the small beach. Plus a private excursion to Melissani lake cave, Myrtos beach swim stop and viewpoint stop all booked on the Get Your Guide App. Im genuinely going to miss sitting on the veranda with a cold beer watching the cruise ships and Lixouri ferry come and go. That is until we return very soon. The ferry to Lixouri every half hour is 3.50 euro each way for foot passengers and a great place to pop for lunch. Go down to the harbour in the morning to see the Turtles swimming around the small fishing boats. Also a 10 bus journey from the ferry terminal for 2.50 euro to Makris Gialos beach in Lassi is a must.

I'm not going to miss the last bit of the walk on the way back to the apartment as it was a bit of a short walk up a 30 metre steep hill. But saying that, it was kind of a short cut and Barbara advised us to take the ever so slightly longer route from the front of the property to the town centre with a much more gentle slope.
